Just my 2 cents...this is what the operator of NVC told me...

2010 Apr 27-- Email Addresses of Petitioner & Beneficiary given to Operator- he already had it- he told us to email the OPTIN but still wait a couple of weeks to get the DS-3032 form!??!

Not sure what's that supposed to mean...I will send in the OPTIN with the attached DS-3032 form...lets see what happens...

I agree with FireRay, send DS-3032 (with expiration date of 1/31/2013) along with OPTIN. Worked great for all of us. Operator is likely confused. They will email you the DS-3032 in two days but it is expired version (sometime in 2006!).

Make sure OPTIN email is in right format with subject line (reference the Electronic Processing Wiki Page by Darnell).

Grrrrr, RFE's. And no email or request or anything from the NVC. Only found out because my hubby called in this morning and spoke to a supervisor. I hadn't done my 2009 taxes when I sent in the I-864 package so I sent in my W-2 for the year with tax transcripts for the previous 2 years. Now they want my 2009 tax transcript. And my hubby was in the South African Navy and they want his military record, not just the military certificate. So that may take a while to get.

So question: if the tax transcript is for the I-864 package and the military record is for the DS-230 package, can we just send them in together in the same email stating they are the request for evidence?

Darn it, just want to cry....

RFE - you WILL get an email about this - wait a bit - it'll show up.

suggest you still split things up -

1 email to 'answer the rfe' and

another email for the DS-230

if you have more than 1 RFE, make sure you stick to 1 RFE - 1 email response - don't double up - RFEs are tracked, and some SERCO yahoo might 'see' the RFE response from you on 1 RFE item, totally disregard the 2nd or 3rd RFE ITEM, and still it shows that you've not responded to the RFE.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Valerie - that's too funny. Their email system and response time aren't working the best are they?

So it took 3 days to get the RFE email? Did you already send in the requested item or did you wait for the email? And if you did send it in already, did you get an auto-response?

Posted

The requested item is going to take 6 months to get, so it has not been submitted. Well, the second part of the RFE was the photos, not sure what I did wrong there, because I did send them. I could send them in again, I guess. This particular RFE (I think I explained about the criminal records screw up earlier) is causing me to think about AOS instead. I just don't know what to do.

Wow, that's amazing! It took the rest of us more than 2 weeks to receive the EP acceptance email you did in a matter of hours. You should receive the DS-3032 / AOS (I-864) bill email soon in the next couple days. You can ignore the DS-3032 part, and can pay the AOS fee bill and continue along the process. You should fly through NVC since the EP acceptance email is what held the rest of us in the last month up! Good for you! kicking.gif

Let me know...

Call NVC, ask for 'AOS FEE BILL EMAILED TO YOU'

You can't pay anything without the Invoice Identification Number, which is (solely) inside the AOS Fee Bill.

Man, NVC must be on a roll today, I just got the AOS Fee Bill Payment Information, just a quick question...my husband doesn't have a printer at home...so should he have one...like when we make the payment...do we have to print the cover sheet immediately...or the coversheet becomes available after the status shows PAID...

Basically...we don't want to take a chance now to make the payments but be unable to print it for our records...

Just wondering, maybe we should wait until he gets into work tomorrow to print anything if required...

A Printer? you want to do NVC Electronic Processing?

Tell him to review http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing

and get CutePDF - he can PRINT the file to PDF file.

PDF files are required at NVC. Not 'paper output from a printer'

Good Luck !
