How long from case approval to email receipt?

I was just wondering if anyone had an idea how long it could take after the approval of a pending case to receive the approval email from USCIS or for the online status message to change?

It took 2 days for us to get the email for aproval after the officer said it was aproved

forget about that, my AP was approved 07/03 and the online message still says it takes 30-60 to process. THey received it blah blah blah.I even got the AP already.

Don't rely on e-mail status or anything.

Our status changed online the same day we were approved. We got the email the following day.

I've read that sometimes the case actually 'disappears' from the portfolio before it is updated.

I just did a quick check of processing dates for our district office (Pittsburgh). As of yesterday they changed the I-485 processing date to November 30, 2005. Wes' case has a receipt date of November 16, 2005.

Now is when I start watching them closely for further action should his petition fall outside the 30 day timeframe.

You can not rely on that message some VJ member are approved and it does not show it online until later. Sometime you do not even get the e-mail from “CRIS”.
