My husband is Iranian but we are living in Turkey and waiting to hear back from the embassy in Ankara. I sent my paperwork off early this month. They received the packet and told me they will contact me as soon as DHS has finished processing it. I'm wondering about how long it will take to clear DHS and when I will receive a case number...

Who else is waiting? Or if you're finished with the DCF process then maybe you can post how long it took to get the visa and which embassy you went through so that those that are still waiting can get an idea of how long it might take.

My I-130 was approved a week after the petition.

It usually takes 2 months from the petition to the visa issuance at Tokyo if your case is easy one.

Ankara is little bit slow in processing applications, mine took about 3 weeks, it wasn't DEF, but what I'm hearing and reading from others, is 2-3 weeks.

3 Weeks! That isn't slow. That is actually pretty fast for Iranian applicants from what I hear. I was told it would take months. I sure hope mine goes that fast.

Congrats to all the people that have been approved! :star:
