We need to travel to my husband's family in Ireland in May for his Mums 80th birthday. We don't have travel booked yet and I'm wondering how ####### they are about that date you put in there...has anyone put in a range of a month for example?

We plan to file this week with our Adjustment.

You don't need to include any dates if you are filing your I-131 as part of your AOS packet.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)

FYI: I just checked my wife's I-131 form (which was approved) and we wrote "TBD" for the dates and length. Perhaps that is a better idea than leaving them blank.

I actually wrote in May 2010 as that is the month we want to go; we just don't have travel booked. I also marked "more than one trip" as she is aged and he needs to be able to go back if he needs to.

I explained the trip and the situation in the accompanying letter. :)

TBD or a month/year combination are both satisfactory. I think leaving that space blank is not advisable, but a general date, or to be decided works when the exact date of the intended travel is not known.
