So, I was filling the I-134 affidative of support form out, but then i realized that i dont make enough money. so can i put my parents information instead. is that possible. if i do that does that mean i need to get my dads tax returns. i mean i make like 14k-16k. is that enough for a affidative of support or do u need more? wat is the amount of support u can show? i am curious. does anyoe know the exact amount. please help... cuz i am really confused...

The 2009 income level for 2 persons is $18,212. See the Poverty Guidelines link in my signature to find the complete income requirements.

You as the petitioner will file an affidavit of support, along with all the needed documentation, regardless of income. If you need a co sponsor that person will complete the form as well supplying all the needed information. Check with the consulate in case they have specific requirements regarding co-sponsors.

Also, after marriage your then spouse will need to adjust status and again you will have to supply an affidavit of support (form I-864 at that time), so make sure that you have someone lined up for that if needed.
