I've been to Santa Fe and San Luis Obispo (near Hearst Castle), they are very nice places to live.

Akron Ohio is pretty nice too.

Here's a pic of Marfa from Wikipedia. I agree, I don't see it.

The Cape May listing made me chuckle too. The description of Cape May is true, but it's only true for a few blocks of the town.

Marfa, Texas

The population was 2,121 at the 2000 census.

last time i went thru there it was blink and you'll miss it.

All abandoned TX towns look like this... Take a drive down any ol' Texas state highway and you'll see towns like this by the dozens... Not scenic...just sad!

Why are there so many abandoned towns in Texas?

Mainly because of the decline in the small state highways. They were replaced with major interstates which skirted around the smaller towns, leaving them no future...
