It looks like from your timeline that the last infomation that you had was that the file had been sent to the embassy. You still have to get everything ready for the interview. I have some information that I can provide to help you. Your NOA2 will expire according to your time line at the end of November. Has your fiance gotten a letter from the embassy yet? You can contact the Department of State to find out information on your file. The number is 202-663-1225 press 1 and then 0

First: Call DOS (do forum search to get phone number). Confirm London has acknowledged receipt of your file.

Second: Go to the embassy info link at the top of the page. Navigate to the UK page. There is a link there for packet 3. That link is ALL that the embassy sends you. Provided that the embassy does in fact have your case, you can complete those forms and send them in.

Third: Get your documents and such gathered for the interview. Order police cert, birth cert (you need the long form) and the support documents London tip: Unlike the example forms, on the 134, they want to see DO INTEND checked.. You're looking at an interview date after the expiration of your NOA2, so have the USC send the notarized letter of intent as well. Sending in the forms will keep your file active and they should extend it if they have heard from you. On the embassy info page, there is a phone number that you can call to check on that if you're still worried.

Fourth: Send all correspondence to the embassy with tracking, so you know that it gets there and when.

Time to get proactive. Good luck!

My fiance's visa has been stuck in London since the end of July and we haven't heard anything from the embassy. Anyone know of the best way to contact the embassy?

I called the DOS on ours a few times and they told me it had not been received by the embassy. Odd thing is we got our packet 3 letter today dated Oct 3rd and postmarked the 14th. I called the DOS 3 times this month and every time they said the embassy didn't have it. Seems the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing.

I'd still take the advice on calling the DOS. I would also look into how to contact the embassy directly.

My fiance is interviewing in London. So on my I-134 form I should check that I do intend to make specific contributions and then in the space provided state that we're going through the K-1 Visa process for permanent residence?

I evidently got this wrong too. I just mailed off these forms to him and I guess it would be better if I changed the answer to that question and mailed him a new signed form?

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

The NVC told me last night when they informed me our petition was finally released from AP that the US consulate's number in London is (dialing from the US) 011 44 2074999000. I hope this helps you. Good Luck and keep us posted. :) Malena & Paul

I would not call that number as it can get hideously expensive. You can call DOS and they have the exact same information in the USA.
