My case was received September 30th. I called NVC and gave them our e-mails on October 1st. We haven't received any e-mails yet.

It takes a while for the bills to get generated. It's more important you gave them your e-mails so they can do so. If I were you I'd call again just to verify they have the correct e-mails. When my husband gave them ours, they had my e-mail spelled wrong. So, give them a call and check again.

Yup - tis time to call :D Give both the email addresses when you're asking for the casenumber. You'll be sent a 'DS-3032 kit' - which consists of a non-fillable PDF DS-3032, a barcode thingie, and a link to pay the fee bill online (70 bucks ).

I've been watching this stuff - usually within 1 week to 10 days after NVC has received it - they be waiting on your phone call.

If you are CR-1/IR-1 for Montreal - you can also file electronically - see

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...onic_Processing

for how to opt in and some technical stuff and speed bumps about this newish program.

Good Luck !

Like everyone else said: you haven't given NVC your email addresses. That's why you haven't heard back. After you give email addresses to a NVC operator, it'll probably take them a week to generate your AOS bill and DS-3032.

In case you're wondering what they're doing right now, NVC is probably preparing to send you the AOS bill and DS-3032 by paper through snail mail. Since this is all done manually, it takes a while for them to get to it. So naturally going electronic would be a wise decision.

Like Darnell mentioned, you're in the perfect situation to try the pilot project for electronic processing (i.e.: no snail mail).

I'm going to be giving it a shot as well. It has the potential to speed things up by a couple weeks at least.

Good to hear! I think since it's new, only for CR-1 / IR-1 (and a few other unrelated) visas, dependent on knowing about it after I-130 approval but before anything is sent to NVC, and only for two consulates in the world, it's not exactly a hot topic. But it happens to be good timing for the both of us.

Good luck to you with it! I've already sent off the DS-3032, so I hope to receive further instructions relatively soon.

And yes -- thanks to Darnell for pointing it out, and contributing to (or creating?) the wiki for the process.

Watch out about projecting time to assign interviews as each embassy is different... The OP is from Canada and right now Canadian interviews are taking FOREVER to be scheduled (like 4+ months from case complete to interview assignment)... There is no "maximum" timeframe for scheduling interviews....
