I emailed the embassy again last night to inquire about when we could expect Hachemi's visa to be issued. Got this reply this morning. I really like this one alot!!!! :dance::dance::dance:

Dear Madam

A visa is issued to your fiancé and the passport within the packet and has been sent thru UPS Algiers

18, Avenue Franklin Roosevelt.

Please advise your fiancé to be in touch with UPS at the number below:

021-23-00-33/ 23-04 60

I hope your fiance will travel by the end of this month

Sincerely,

Consular assistant

Hachemi gave instructions for ups to keep it there instead of delivering it, and he will go to Algiers and pick it up.

Yaaaay! Hopefully UPS Algiers is more reliable than the Egyptian equivilant (TNT booo).

Does he have stuff left to finish up there before he comes home?

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

Rahma you are definetly right ..My interview is after 13 days from now and I never recieved my package 4 and i contacted the embassy 2 days ago and they replied they will send me letter today " I hope"

it seems nothing is functional in this country!!!!

October 14, 2005 Touched Again. I don't get it

October 17, Recieved NOA2 Via Snail mail

October 24, RecievedNVC case #

October 27, Petition Shipped to Embassy

October 31, Embassy received petition

November 1, Embassy called to set up fingerprint appointment

November 4, Fingerprint appointment

November 23, Fingerprint check results came in - Thumbs up

November 30, Fiance picks up packet 3

December 1, Medical exam

December 5, Call embassy to set up interview date

December 5, Pick up medical results

December 28, embassy tells us they screwed up

January 23, Interview date

january 23, Need a waiver 601 and 212

January 31, Turned in Waivers

February 27, Waiver sent to Athens, (Took long enough)
