Hi everyone,

my fiance was denied at the border when trying to visit on the VWP. They photographed, fingerprinted and interviewed him and said he would now no longer be allowed to use VWP but need a visa in the future. Does this mean he was "removed" and has a 5 year ban or was he just "turned back"? How would we find out if there is a ban? Call the border post whee it happened? It seems silly to spend 1000s and wait months for a K1 if it surely is gettign denied at the interview stage due to a ban. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Was anything written in the passport when the denial took place? Was any paperwork given to your fiance when him at the POE?

March 12, 2009 - Case Complete

Removal of Conditions
Filed - April 14, 2011
Biometrics - June 2, 2011 (early)
Approval - November 9, 2011
209 DAY TRIP TO REMOVE CONDITIONS

Citizenship

April 29, 2013 - NOA1 for petition received

September 10, 2013 Interview - decision could not be made.

April 15, 2014 APPROVED. Wait for oath ceremony

Waited...

September 29, 2015 - sent letter to senator.

October 16, 2015 - US Citizen
