Hello Friends

I have some questions regarding the follow to join process.

My situation is, that I have applied for I485 before I got married, PD March 2007 India EB2 and I485 is still pending. I am on H1 and my wife is on H4, I understand that we can apply for my wifes I485 when my dates are current, however with the current economy I am not sure if I can hold on to my H1 sponsored job, in the worst scenario I might have to end up using EAD and my wife will loose the H4 status, and will have to go back to India.

However in this situation, lets say while I am on EAD and my I485 is approved. Can I apply for Follow to Join (I-824) for my wife.

When can I start the application process?

I would greatly appreciate your help if you could share your knowledge or experience in this matter.
