AOS and I-864 Child support as income?

Hi all,

I am in the process of entering my information on the I-864. I have 2 minor children who I have full custody of and receive weekly child support for. Where should I enter the information about receiving child support on the I-864? I am sure this money would help offset my income and assets for the 125% poverty line qualification. Thanks for any help!

Based on the instructions - all income is included on line 23 with supporting documentation sent to support. Maybe you would like to include a supplementary explanation sheet to detail what is included i line 23.

I plan to do that as well since I have 3 minor children in my house hold and receive child support ...it isn't significant but it is income however...I make almost 30k without the child uspport but with the child support I make 35k ...I do have a question however, I don't get a support check from the security office or anything my ex husband pays me directly. I make copies of each and every check will that documentation provide enough proof or should I also include the divorce agreement where it states specifically how much and how often he pays? I also will include the divorce decree obviously.

You will need to provide the actual child support order as it lays out the amount & duration of payments.

Only thing we have is the separation and divorce agreement but it does say exactly how much and it gets paid twice a month until the girls are 18 but i plan to send that as well as proof he pays which is the copies of each check he gives me.
