hello guys! I just want to ask what are the documents to be prepared for the interview IF under the CR-1 petition? Do I need to provide original birth certificate, divorced decree, and military records of my husband? or photocopies will do? I hope you can share your ideas with me especially to the CR-1 beneficiaries who already passed the interview. I will appreciate whatever you can share to me. Thanks!

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

I'm the wife of an American Soldier;

I'm the hope that lives within him after storm clouded days.

The freedom from war that gives wings to his heart,

May they reach across the miles and bind our hearts together

against all that we must face in this world.

CR1 has almost every originals sent beforehand during the process of the application, OP's post was my exact inquiry before but since there would be some things that could no longer be provided as 'original' it's fine to bring copies/duplicates instead.

here are the duplicates I brought:

AOS I-864

Tax returns and W2

Husband's flight itineraries (actually just printed out from the confirmation e-mail of his e-ticket)

Pay checks

The originals:

Marriage certificate (it's always good to get extra copies from NSO)

My Birth certificate

CENOMAR

NBI clearance

.... Sometimes, pre-screeners tend to get lazy to flip through all the papers and look for things they need to see, just like what happened to me, she asked for 3 files that are actually right there somewhere inside the folder she's already holding -- she asked for the W2's, my NBI clearance and I-864 ... Like lame .. but oh well, I had everything she asked on my files so it was definitely an advantage.

... then there's the additional proofs that you probably know already like pictures, remittances, etc .. ;)

Good Luck! :)
