Hi everyone!! On October 13th we received an email stating that our I-130 was approved, we are very happy! I've been reading a lot abouth the NVC shorcuts, but I'm unclear about something, Do I, the beneficiary fill out the Form DS-3032 or does my husband, the petitioner fill it out.

Right now I'm in Colombia, should we wait to get the INVOICE ID NUMBER and send the application by email, or should we send the papers by regular mail?

Thank you all for your help and God bless!!!

You're case might arrive at NVC after a week or more, then call NVC to this number 603-3340700 or let your husband call the NVC to get your Case number. As the beneficiary, you are the one who will fill up the DS-3032, you can e-mail it to NVC just like what other folks here do and send it by Postal mail too.

Call NVC about a week after the approval. If you go through AVR (Automated Voice Record (I think that's what the last word is)) then it mioght not have been updated. You best off speaking to an operator, be prepared to give the following information:

beneficiary name and dob

petitioners name and dob

Ask them for a Invoice Identification Number (IIN). Once you have that log on to www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov:

1. Fee payments to the National Visa Center (NVC) are made through the Consular Electronic Application

Center's Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center. Go to www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov and click the "Fee

Collection" link, then the "Online Payment" link.

2. The online payment process requires that you have available:

- The checking account number of the account used for payment

- The routing number of the bank where the account is maintained

(For those unfamiliar with check numbering, the Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center displays

instructions for how to locate the account and routing numbers on your checks.)

3. After gathering your account number and bank routing number, log into the Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment

Center. You will need the NVC case number and the Invoice Identification Number printed above.

4. After you have logged in, step-by-step instructions will be displayed to guide you through the payment

process.

5. Retain a copy of this invoice for your records.

Payers who are unable to use the online payment method must follow alternative payment instructions. Go to

www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov and click the "Fee Collection" link, then the "Alternative Payment Method"

link, and then follow the instructions displayed. When paying by cashier's check or money order, you must

enclose this original invoice with the payment.

I copied and pasted the fee payment extract from my email attachment.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

I suggest having the USC call NVC, get a human, and inquire if there's a casenumber assigned..

If there is a casenumber assigned - the NVC Tele-Operator will 'take' the 2 email addresses (petitioner and beneficiary ) and then send out , via email, a DS-3032 kit to both.

Inside that kit is a non-fillable DS-3032 - which must be signed by the beneficiary, and some barcode info, and a fee bill for 70 bucks.

Good Luck !

Yes, it's true. I tried to ask for our IIN from the operator but they refused to give. They just asked me for my e-mail adress and for my wife. After a couple of days I got an e-mail from NVC, these are the invoices and the IIN are written in it.

Yes, the only way to receive the IIN is through the AOS fee bill. What was suggested was that the OP call and ask the operator for the IIN.

Read Ling Che's Stuff over at http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...he_NVC_ShortCut

Read it a few times.

I even suggest printing it out, then taking pen to paper and making your own mapping of what to do.

That wiki entry is content rich - easy to overlook stuff if you are in a hurry.
