Guys, Our attorney is still waiting for my DS-230 packet from Saudi before sending the AOS packet to NVC. I wonder why, as far as what I read here in VJ, the AOS packet can be sent first and it's not necessary to be together with the DS-230, right?

We are wasting tooooooooooo much time with NVC process. because of these scenarios.

First, our atty will fill up and collect all documents needed, then after filling up those forms she will send them back to my wife for review nad correction, then my wife will send it back to her, then send them to NVC. I think this is a huge waste of time.

These procedures starts from the USCIS up to now.:angry::angry:

i agree with u . if u do urself u can save some time bcz for attorney u r just another case and nothing more, omg u give the paper to attorney and then he give back to u for the check then he gets back the papers then he sends to nvc that is lot of time wasted, u can just tell attorney that if u done then just send to nvc. good luck, abby n sheryl

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Yes, the affidavit of support can be sent alone - they are two separate processes at NVC.

Thanks for the replies, at least I'm confident to inform our lawyer to send first the AOS packet and l will send the DS-230 packet by my own from here in Saudi Arabia.

Yes, just like you two, I'm amazed you made all the processing by your own and it was very fast.

We are sending both together, that way it get processed together. They won't be waiting for your AOS after receiving DS-230. Along with AOS paper work & DS-230 we are sending all original documents. This is so NVC get everything together at once

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

ur wife shouldn't hire a lawyer in a first place, they just make things worse. probably 90% of ppl on vj did it on their own not using a lawyer but friendly vj advice. that's what you should've done too :thumbs:aos package can be sent first, this is what we did as well... good luck
