Hey guys!

How are you all holding up?

Almost 3 months for me now and still no touches...

One good thing that happened though was that we realized we are eligible (hopefully) for a expedite after talking with a senator. We are sending our papers to him today and hoping this will have some effect on speeding up the papers. Would have been nice to know that..uhm,about 3 months ago!

I'm just going crazy with all the waiting, patience is clearly not my virtue.

Hope you all are doing fairly well atleast and that we all get to see some action from CSC soon,it feels like they are still in the holiday-mood...

Hi, Yohino! I am trying (and failing miserably) to wait patiently. Good luck on the expedite! I may also be eligible for one, but at the moment, would rather put it in at the NVC stage (if I can) in case they pull my file out to put the expedite request with it (at CSC), it doesn't get approved, and I lose my place in line. I don't know if that is what happens, that is just what my paranoid mind is putting out there. Has anyone phoned CSC? I think I will try that later today, although there are still a lot of Sept filers ahead of us.

I am an early September filer and I just got my approval last week. I also saw a couple of september filers get approvals last week. I believe you should be getting yours soon. I think a lot of our apps got slowed down due to the holiday season but now it looks like things are picking up the pace.

Thought I mention my experience with Touches. AFter septmeber I had a touch only this month. The next day morning after the touch I got an email saying my application is approved. And about 5mins later my online status changed to approved.

I was thinking about doing the same thing but since our (my husbands) senator said we had a good chance of the expedite we figured we'd just go ahead and do it! It was sent to them yesterday so now I'm just hoping to hear something soon! I didn't even think about thet,that you'd "loose" your place in line...now I'm have another thing to worry about,thanks,haha!

Do you know what happens if you get it expedited at NVC? I might have misread it somewhere or is it true that you send all your papers (DS-230,AOS) straight to the embassy instead?

All the papersworks for the NVC-stage are already gathered and sitting with my husband in the US so all we need is a freckin NOA2 so we can finally get somewhere in this process!

Not sure if they'll take any calls if you haven't hit the 5 month mark yet,but please tell us what they say if you decide to call!

Good thing to know that they started moving again and that the september filers are getting approved! That gives me some hope!

I don't know how it all works, I have not actually looked into the expedite process yet. I could be really screwed if you can only do it at the CSC stage. I guess I'd better get on that.

I know you can get it expedied at the NVC-stage aswell but I'm not sure how it works... I'm just hoping to sail through there since all the papers are in order..NVC is hopefully alot faster then USCIS,or so I have seen here.

Under what cathegory are you filing you expedite request? Just curious.

My pregnancy is classified as high-risk, and I've already had one miscarriage. Not likely to work, but it never hurts to try. What is yours?

I too have heard that if an expedite request is denied, then the petition up being moved to the back of the pile.

Yes, expediting in the NVC stage usually comprises assigning a case number and forwarding it to the embassy. All the papers are adjudicated there. Kind of like the K-1.

Thanks, Sachinky. Do you know exactly what I have to do to ask for an expedite at the NVC stage? What form, etc.? I guess I'd better go read the guides...

I really hope so,it would be awful if he would get deployed and then me getting the visa and still not be able to see him! But life is rough sometimes,I'v been chanting my newly found mantra - It's all going to be OK in the end!

I din't ask for an expedite, but I DID go to my congressman's office and they are doing an inquiry for me.

We have been thru all this background check already with a K1 less than a year ago, so I pray the inquiry will help.

The assistant told me to give it 2 weeks and then come back if I didn't hear anything and they would send another letter.

I have tried to prepare for the NVC stage of this, but it's hard with the 2009 tax info just now coming in. I hope it is all here when I need it!
