Oct CR1 Filers

The impression I've been getting is that touches are a good sign. Good luck! I hope they start touching mine soon - nothing since Oct 28th. Ah well, can't complain, there looks to be a bunch of Sept filers that haven't gotten there NOA2 yet. ARGH I wish this didn't take so long! Patience has never been one of my virtues.

Online status shows, it was touched again today (12/08/09), but still under Initial Review.

Does anybody have any idea with such pattern?

I hope they get some work done in next two weeks before holidays.

It was indeed a Great sign!!!! This morning I received an email saying "we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION".

Here is the whole text. "On December 8, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

I am excited. I hope this is a good sign for everybody else too.

I got some bad news yesterday,hopefully it's not true...

My husband called the Military Hotline just to check on our petition, he got the info that the California Service Center is processing only I-130s from june at the moment..

In one way it feels not accurate,since there are september filers with NOA2s but you never know.

Just wanted to share so there are more of us praying this is not the case.

I wish USCIS had a page like Igor's List. It would be good to see how far along they actually are. Is there many active VJers on here that filed in June and haven't gotten an NOA2?

That is a great idea,that way you could atleast know kinda how long of a waiting time you are in for..

From what I get from Igors list there aren't that many that haven't gotten NOA2s,and then some of them can be ju inactive,so I hope they aren't that backed up. But that's what my husband was told...I'm really hoping it's not actually true though,even if I can't think of a reason they would give him bad info.

Hey guys, I'm checking in as an October filer. No touches as yet and no other information. I am thinking, from the pace that they are processing, that it probably won't be until the end of January/beginning of February before the NOA2, especially with it being the holiday season and all.

Yeah.. same sad feeling here... but you never know.

And the fact that the estimate said aug 17 a day or two ago but is now down to aug 13 (I think) again..

Atleast the one approval gave me some hope,haha!

Have the rest of you guys started collecting your papers for NVC already? Like PCC´s and BC´s?

I don't want to start doing it to soon but it should be ok to start getting them right?

Merry Christmas everyone!. Our petition was received on Oct. 29 and the last date being touched is November 2nd. I was hoping to be one of the lucky who got a NOA2 in 40-50 days but it's looking more like Jan/Feb now With any luck, this is the last Christmas we will all be spending alone though!!

Good evening all! Haven't checked in for a while, but when I looked tonight and saw 3 approvals on the 23rd (although not from Oct), I felt a little hopeful that the holiday slow down may be over!

A little good news would be great right now. There is nothing like working in retail (wal-mart) during the holidays to make you hate this time of year. I think people get more rude every year! And not spending it with your husband has to be the absolute worst. I can't do this another year! If he isn't here next year, I know I have to be in Jordan with him!

Ally I know what you are saying and I feel the same way! Kevin, I hope you are right. Tomorrow is my 6 month wedding anniversary and I feel blessed I get to see my husband online (webcam and all) but sure would rather spend it in person! I can't wait for this whole process to be done!!!

I asked about that here on VJ and was told that the reason the K1 goes faster is because it is a non-immigrant visa so the green card isn't processed at the same time. It causes more time up front but saves a lot more time, money, and hassle once your spouse is here. Hang in there! (But I know what you mean...every day I have to talk myself out of just packing up and moving to be with my husband!)
