Today, I went to USCIS office and officer was not really helpful. He says the case is in process and this is the only thing he can sees. He said, do u want to send an inquiry? he didn't even see that I already did an inquiry on 3/17/10. I am really frustrated and don't know what to do? Should i contact a congressman or congresswoman? Should i file K3 petttion at this time after five months? Should i hire an attorney? Do you think he can anymore info from USCIS? Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

I am so sorry to read this.

Honestly, I don't understand their procedures. You, Sam, and I all had the same dates. Now I am at NVC... you have no news... and I am not sure what has been happening with Sam and that interview they requested.

When I got back from Jordan I called my congressman's office again and they sent another letter. That was on Monday and we got approved on Friday. I can't say if the 2 things were related, but who knows. From some other posts here, I have to wonder. So I think it is worth a try.

As for the K3, those are obsolete now, so... I think this is the only way.

Again, I am sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers. You can PM me any time you just want to talk. After going thru the failed K1, I understand the frustration of waiting all too well.

YAY!! Congrats!! Once you get the approval, give it a couple of days and call the NVC to get your case number and give them you and your SO email address! This will make things go even faster!!!

Congrats!!! That's great news. I have not heard nothing as of now. They transferred our case to the Chicago Field Office on Feb 23 and I have not recieved an interview date until now.

So I called up USCIS and did a service request last week. I also have an INFOPASS appointment this week on April 1. Hopefully I recieve some information on this interview. I mean over a month a did not recieve an interview date. That's way too much time.

Good Luck To All,

Sam :)

I just went to my INFOPASS appointment last Thursday on April 1 at the Chicago Field Office to follow-up and the lady told me it can take up to 90 days to hear something. Wow that's a really long time for just setting up an appointment. However, the lady was real nice and she promised that she will send it up to the I-130 unit to let them know I was there.

I am just waiting and waiting. Because I teach here at a university, I just want her papers to come out because I am not able to keep going back and forth.

Good Luck All,

Sam :)

HI! I recently found the site and wanted to join this group since we all filed in October (mine was actually sent October 29th so I am almost in the November 2009 filers!). I just wanted to know where everyone was. I am in the NVC, sent in my AOS documenation and am waiting on my dear to send me his paperwork so I can send in the DS230 stuff.

How is everyone else? Any good news?
