The Shinning, eh? Is that a horror story about girls' field hockey? Cuz I have some stories just like it if so....

;)

That reminds me of the time my daughter went out on her first date with this guy. She was not feeling too well but didn't want to cancel the date. He took her to the movies. Long story short, she threw up in the guy's lap. I bet he no longer eats popcorn now either. lol

Oh no!! So I'm guessing this isn't the guy she is marrying... ;)

Oh the Shining.... *shudder*

Oh the Shinning! That reminds me... I'm toying with the idea of taking a ghost tour in the Stanley. I love ghosts and supernatural things but I get so scared to easy. Apparently it was the inspiration for the Shinning... but I don't really know the story.

Two movies that come to mind . . . actually Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds" was one of the scariest movies I have ever seen. The suspense and the unknown quality just built up until my whole body was tense with the 'waiting'. Don't ever want to watch that one again.

I remember, as a child, I woke up from a terrifying nightmare and ran into the living room where my mom was watching that. I only saw maybe fifteen minutes of the movie, but combined with whatever the dream was a out, it scarred me. Heh.

I don't really watch scary movies, as I've never really enjoyed that. I do recall being frightened to no end after watching the movie Pulse, by myself, in the dark. No idea why, but it freaked the hell out of me. Every single tiny light in my room had to be squashed that night for me to feel safe closing my eyes, and even then, I don't recall sleeping... :(

I remember watching the movie The Langoliers and then sitting on an airplane where most of the flight consisted of being in hazy weather just like the movie. It was both funny and eerie all at the same time. lol

OMG, I had that exact same moment on a plane too. I was looking around and wondering if I dozed off if a few people would go missing.

John Lithgow in the movie was pretty good but the original with William Shatner and the gremlin (I guy down the street owned a green one, odd looking car, no wonder AMC went under  ) in Nightmare at 20,000ft couldn't be topped. Who could forget this:

BTW, this is the 50th anniversary of the Twilight Zone.
