I-864 or I-864EZ?

I am confused to choose between these 2 forms.

I-864 is for all applicant but at the same time I am also applicable for I-864EZ.

Which one I should apply and what is the real difference here?

From what I understand, or at least what I did, the 864 is for the petitioner that may have to use a co-sponsor or to show assets to be above the poverty line. You can use the 864ez if you can answer yes on the first 3 questions on the form. Basically, the 864ez is more quick and more simple to complete because you can show you are at least 125% the poverty line (or 100% over if you are military). Less paperwork. I still included the most recent and the 3 previous years of IRS transcipts along with the recent year W2 and 1099 schedules.

I-864ez = should be used when you are relying on only one sponsor (the petitioner) and you are only using your income to qualify.

Anything else (co-sponsor, use of assets) = regular I-864
