I guarantee if Americans were polled and asked if their opinions about Muslims were generally favorable or generally unfavorable it would be a landslide for the latter choice. As for anti-Obama protestors of course that includes the far right, but it also includes lots of people who aren't extremists. In fact the far left isn't too fond of Obama either. My point is that something like 45% of Americans (the number of course fluctuates) do not approve of Obama & that includes individuals across the political spectrum.

This may be true...

Whenever they ask these polls i just wish the first question was: Do you know any Muslims?

(Doesn't have to be Muslims, any survey regarding the perception of any minority group.)

Here is all the information from the second trial, if you want to see how CAIR was involved with Hamas.

In preparation for the second Holy Land Foundation trial, prosecutors filed a second supplemental trial brief laying out their argument. Notably, prosecutors again will delve into the expansive Muslim Brotherhood network in the U.S.: "the defendants, through the HLF, were engaged in a conspiracy to support Hamas through their membership in the Palestine Committee, an organization created by the U.S. branch of the Muslim Brotherhood to assist Hamas, which itself is the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. Along with the HLF, whose function was to raise funds on behalf of Hamas, the Palestine Committee oversaw the Islamic Association for Palestine ('IAP'), the United Association for Studies & Research ('UASR') and, later on, the Council on American Islamic Relations ('CAIR')."

http://www1.nefafoundation.org/hlfdocs2.html

And yet, still not even so much as an indictment, let a lone a conviction.

It's all the same people, dude! Three out of the five people convicted in the second trial founded CAIR.

Give it up!

Well then, let's start an investigation of the GOP and Democratic Party infiltrating Congress. After all, members of both parties have been convicted of crimes in the past. Hence, both organizations should not be anywhere near the center of power.

Explain. The case against CAIR - which nobody has actually made - is based on convictions of members of the organization. There wouldn't be any legitimate organization around if that's the measure. Hell, the Catholic Church would have to be shut down seeing that they had lots and lots of eventually convicted pedophiles in their ranks - and tried to cover it up. Why the different standards? Don't answer that, I know.

This may be true...

...and would be quite irrelevant if the First Amendment means anything.

I suppose when convicted felons founded both A.C.O.R.N. and the S.E.I.U., and dead people typically vote the Democratic party line in the President's hometown, all this doesn't quite seem that unusual.

If you honestly think that the Republicans are any less hypocritical or corrupt than the Democrats you are delusional. They are opposite sides of the same manure covered coin.

It's not very ethical, to say, "Just because they do it, we should do it as well," even it it were true.

You can already see, that when a member of the right commits a social misdemeaner, then he is being a hypocrite, but when the left commits the same offense, we must show some understanding for the human condition. The left is of the misguided impression, that the end justifies the means, to cheat the system, to level the playing field, while the right still insists on a certain decorum, where fair play is respected.

Case in point. A truly tolerant party would understand his outrage, and do something to eliminate his pain.

I am not saying two wrongs make a right, but you are still clinging to the misguided fantasy that the right is somehow more moral & less hypocritical than the left.

No, both sides avoid mirrors, I am afraid. The case of Tom Delay was a prime example of a politician on the right hanging on to his office well beyond any point of honor. But, at least the right does make some pretense of personal responsibility, where as the left makes no effort at all, almost revelling in their corruption and malfeasance, despite the feigned outrage at the misdemeanors of the right.

I guess Nancy only wanted to drain the GOP swamp.

Who says that I can't? The issue was that of decorum which you claimed the right insists on and our good Mr Wilson here simply says: You lie.

But, at least the right does make some pretense of personal responsibility, ...

They do? When? Where?
