The early line on favorites in a GOP presidential primary in 2012 has Mike Huckabee ahead with 29 percent, Mitt Romney at 24 percent, Sarah Palin at 18 percent, Newt Gingrich at 14 percent and Tim Pawlenty at 4 percent, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted Oct. 15. The margin of error is 4 points.

Asked the other way around, the list of candidates that Republican voters would least like to see get the nomination is topped by Pawlenty at 28 percent, Palin at 21 percent, Gingrich at 20 percent and Huckabee at 8 percent.
