Question about the choice of agent for the DS-3032

Hello,

I have a question about the DS-3032. We've been looking into doing the

DS-3032 by email, and the template given on this site recommends appointing

the petitioner in the US to be the agent receiving all correspondence from

the NVC. I am going to be staying in Finland for several months with my

husband, so it would make sense to have all mail from NVC to be sent to him

in Finland as we both will most likely be there for a while. I will keep an

address in the states and the mail could be sent there, my relatives would

just have to forward us the mail to Finland. As most people have appointed

the US citizen as the agent, we are just wondering is it beneficial for the

process to do so? Does it sort of 'look better' to have the US citizen to be

the one receiving the mail from NVC?

Thank you for your help

If you give them both of your e-mail addresses then they won't mail you anything at all, it will all be e-mail. You could choose an agent on the moon.

My Husband and I both get emails from them. At the bottom of my correspondence I put CC: (hubby's email) so he gets what I'm sending them too and they can see he got it. I consider we're in this together. If you trust the postal system in Finland to receive all your mail the go with that. If you have someone you trust stateside then go with that. I don't think it matters how it looks to them as long as you're getting it. You might even set up a joint email with your Husband where you receive all your immigration correspondence in that and you both have access to it. Remember document everything about being together.
