Hi -

I just wanted to know if anyone that recently flew through JFK if they received their temporary EAD? Can you please share your experience if it was easy or was it hard? Did you ask for it, or were just given? Anything else you want to share, please do!?!

I'm looking at booking tickets at either JFK or EWR and want to know if its worth it to go JFK.

Thanks!

The stamp at JFK has no meaning besides adding ink to paper. You cannot work with this stamp. Them using it does not change this fact. This question gets asked at least once a day, look at other threads for more details.

Yes but it has no value without another work visa, which the K-1 is not. Simply a waste of ink.

Check the requirements of the I-9 employers form.

Yes but question is has it been given recently and how was the process of getting it, I couldn't anything about that...

When Karin went through JFK - the stamp was issued as a matter of routine. That was 2 years ago but the last time I read about it, they were still doing it this way.

In my opinion - unless going through JFK is convenient for you, it's not worth it (not for the stamp, and certainly not for the over crowded terminals).

The I9 manual was modified at the beginning of the year and specifically excludes it for K1 holders by identifying that only the EAD issued by USCIS can be used (I765).
