Hello vjers

On question 35 it states list all visit to US, but Canadian's are not required to get visa, what should a put down on for type of visa? Im a Canadian citizen, I never got my passport stamped at poe, some time thet did not even bother to check it at all.

I just filled out this form myself, and puzzled over the same thing.

I have a NEXUS pass and have visited the U.S. probably close to one hundred times in my life. I don't think they want a five-page document of all known entries...not that I could even recall even 1/3 of them anyhow. I'm guessing they want to see instances as it pertains to the visa you are applying for. In my case, I have had four lengthy trips to the U.S. to be with my wife, so I included those. I'm sure that if it's an issue, it won't come up until the interview, whereby you can explain your rationale for filling it out the way you have.

As for visa type, I put "visitor". If anyone else has further clarification, I'd like to hear it too!

I listed all of the visits I could remember over the past 10 years of travelling back and forth. In the visa line I put "N/A". The issue did not come up at any point in the process. At my interview in Montreal I was asked if I had ever lived outside of Canada and if I had ever had any difficulties at border crossings. No mention of the number of trips came up. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, i was also told that you could put N/A and slash canadian citizen, aparently they know you don't need a visa to cross the border.

If you haven't sent it in yet that might be a good idea. While you would think NVC would know a visa is not required for Canadians putting "visitor" might lead them to the question what type of "visitor visa" you were travelling on....even though one isn't required. And around and around we go :wacko:
