Ok Guys, how long does it take VSC to send the papers to NVC? My case was approved on Oct 6th and I got the approval notice on Oct 10th. I just called VSC and they don't have my case yet.

On a diff note, even though my case is approved, the USCIS website hasn't been updated yet. Does this have anything to do with my case not being transferred to VSC? I don't think so, but I was wondering...

Could take a week or three - just depends. They don't actually send individual cases, they send them in batches; could be yours is waiting for the next trip out.

The CRIS system is notoriously unreliable - you've got the approval notice so that is what matters.

Hang in there - in our case, NVC kept saying they didn't have our case, then one day I called and they had already sent it out to the Consulate the week before...

Yeap, Otto and Karin are right, hang in there. My case was 're-approved' by USCIS on June 4th. The NVC forwarded it to the Embassy on July 10th. Some petitions are processed a lot faster than others, ours took less time the first time around in '08' and other's such as 'Ak+Tk' took only a couple of weeks just recently.

Another good way is to check out other members 'timelines' and get a pretty good idea from that. I haven't used it this time, but I did the first time in '08' and it was 'right-on'.

Congrats on your engagement and the very best luck to you on your Journey! :)
