It matters to my Muslim parents I guess. And as you might have heard, marrying an asian means you're marrying the whole family hahaha.

They don't mind if the name is english/american (after discussing for a long time, after they told me they would love for the kid to have indonesian name hehe), but I am trying to meet them half way.

My first bf was named Abram. That's technically biblical but his parents were huge hippie/atheists! Abram didn't associate his name with the Bible. He thought it was neat that at least he'd heard of SOMEONE else with his name.

May I ask why you specifically don't want a Bible name?

Alexander isn't Biblical but it is Greek. How about Robert, Cameron, Ian, Scott, Allan, Wallace, McKenzie, Mack, Richard, Murray, Kenneth, Albert, Henry, Harry, Carl, Edward, Charles, Vaughn, Sean, Tony, Martin - there are lots of choices that have no Biblical affiliation.
