"17. List husband/wife and all children of your relative."

Should my husband list me again, or is this section for past marriage and children?

19. Your relative's address abroad.

If I have been living in the US, should I indicate something like "N/A. Living in the US"?

21. If filing for your husband/wife, give last address at which you lived together. (Include street, city, province, if any, and country)

If I have been here since, for example, January 07, but we decided to marry in March 07. Should I put down January... Since I haven't gone back in canada since then?

Should I put down the closest office to me? as given by USCIS' website?

17. Yes he lists you :)

19. I had the same question and my immigration lawyer told me to put down the last address where the alien relative lived abroad (even if they are currently in the US, as my husband is)

21. I'm assuming you mean for the part where it asks for the date? Put the date that you moved in together, not when you arrived in the US (unless those are the same thing)

You are adjusting status right and filing I-130 & I-485 together? If so then you will be mailing everything off to Chicago, IL so you would put that.

RebeccaAndPhil.. I'm just wondering if you answered Chicago, IL instead the Nearest Local Office. That item asks for a Local Office not where you sent the form/application.

Example, since I'm from Inland Empire, California.. My nearest local office in my area is the San Bernardino..

Here's the link for the office locator:

RebeccaAndPhil... Kittyfang is talking about the Item 22 in I-130, not where to file the forms.. :)

Kittyfang, if you're going to send the forms I-130 concurrently with I-465, etc., you should send it to the Chicago Lockbox.. You can find the address on the I-130 Instructions Manual on page 4 or I'll post the address here:

NOTE: If the Form I-130 petition is being filed concurrently with Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, submit both forms concurrently to:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services P.O. Box 805887 Chicago, IL 60680-4107

For couriers/express deliveries:

USCIS Attn: FBAS 131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor Chicago, IL 60603-5517

NOTE: But for that item 22 on the I-130 you should search for the nearest local office. I've posted the link in my previous msg.

Hope you got it!

Yeah I know  I was under the understanding that the question is referring to where the alien relative will petition for adjustment of status. If she is sending both forms I-130 and I-485 concurrently then they would be sent to the Chicago Lockbox location. I went over the forms with my immigration lawyer and he told me the location was correct. :star:

Now I am very confused. I went searching for this and found support for both answers (that either it's your local office or the Chicago office). Where did you find the info telling you to put the local office b/c I am so confused now! Was going to send out the packet tomorrow but now I can't if this is messed up

Don't worry about it. USCIS will assign you to the office that covers your area, whatever you write.

I've read some thread about this. Some explained that you'll be having you're interview in the local office nearby. That's where you're filing for adjustment of status. The Chicago Lockbox Office will be forwarding all your forms to the designated Local Offices, where you'll be having your interview. That's what i've understand.
