My sister has same flight as you are except the POE, she did it in manila. She checked-in in the domestic flight so there was no immigration counter in there.

Actually you will have to pass through Customs Twice in Manila.

Cebu-Manila is a domestic flight- they don't care about your final destination.

1. Once you arrive in Manila, you have to deplane, including all checked bags.

2. You have to Transfer all of your luggage from domestic Terminal to International Terminal

3. Upon entering International Terminal, your luggage is x-rayed at the doorway, on the inside.

4. You go to the ticket counter, get your boarding pass, check luggage (If any)

5. You proceed to the right side of Terminal and pay International Terminal fee of 750 Peso.

6. You pass the Fee booth into the Customs area and fill out Customs Declaration.

7. You pass the Customs officers (4 booths I think) and they inspect your passport, boarding pass, declaration.

8. You pass behind customs booths and through second x-ray station into passenger boarding area

9. Once inside boarding area you proceed to your gate - usually USA Flights are on the left side down at the end.

10. Your USA flight gate will be roped off and you pass through a Third X-ray station. At this station they spot check some bags.

11. after third X-Ray, you pass to second Customs booth - 1 booth two guys - they inspect your Passport, etc on more time.

12. Once inside you wait and board your flight.

Once you are inside the final boarding area for USA flight you cannot buy food or water without going back through the third X-ray, so you might want to get something before you go in there.

Have a nice flight..

Lots of checkpoints at NAIA Terminal 1! What airlines are you using? As I recall PAL flys international from Terminal 2... Hopefully the 1 hour between flights is going to work if its PAL and luggage is checked through all the way? One hour is not enough for terminal transfer and international check-in otherwise. OP - you may need an earlier flight into Manila... Have a fun time and welcome soon.

Sorry for confusion with my terminology. Philippine Airlines, Terminal 2. I have never seen the other terminals. Always deplane the Domestic flight side of Terminal 2, get my luggage, up the elevator and walk over the the International side of Terminal 2 to board my international flight.

As far as check through, it depends on the person at the ticket counter. For Me it has been Bacolod-Manila-LAX (4 times) and I seem to remember getting my check bags and carting them to the elevator then checking them again. It doesn't take long since I fly business class so there is no line. I always have a couple of hours between flights.

I think PAL will accommodate your schedule, especially if you booked the domestic and connecting international flights together. If you have a short connect time they will probably check you through. They have told me in the past "you have plenty of times to check your bags".

If it isn't PAL, I have no Idea.

You will still have to deal with customs either way.

I am US Citizen

But I would think you would do any and all Immigration paperwork at MNL.

Cebu to MNL should be a ordinary domestic flight

I wouldn't to stressed out, they will tell you what to do at each airport

Your not the first Pinay to leave the country.......

Last time I went through this I tried to bring some water and was told that NOTHING could be brought on board the plane. Only buy once inside the plane.

I know cause I asked.

For international flights you are supposed to check in 2 hours before your scheduled flight. I also took the same flight to SFO, PAL 10:30 pm . but I was already in Manila the day before my departure date to get my CFO sticker.

ANyhow , is there a way that you can reschedule your domestic flight at an earlier time? I know there are several PAL flights from Cebu to Manila so why not take an early one, to give you an allowance for delays. If I were you, I will make sure I am already in Manila before 4pm...that should give you enough time to get everything ready.

If you fly PAL from Cebu to Manila all you have to do is walk to the other side to get to the international terminal for checking in.

Better be there early. You will never know what could happen. Always give yourself enough time .

Have a safe trip.

Cebu to Manila... domestic lang.... which mean di mo kailangan pumunta ng immigration

If yong plane mo... eh nasa NAIA

Pagpasok mo sa loob ng airport..... punta ka dun sa counter ng plane example.... JAL, Korean Air.. and etc.

They will check your passport, then tatakan nila... tapos wait ka na lang ng plane mo...

Pwede ka tanong sa loob after immigration kung san banda waiting area ng plane mo....

Good Luck!

Yes, im flying PAL..

:thumbs: Everything will be easy for you. You don't have to collect those baggage after arriving in Manila, since you are a connecting flight to San Francisco, right?

Follow the maximum weight for cabin luggage for your own convenience.

Once you are inside the final boarding area for USA flight you cannot buy food or water without going back through the third X-ray, so you might want to get something before you go in there.

Unless it's different for individuals who are immigrating, this isn't exactly correct. I'm not sure from your post if you're flying PAL all the way to the US or not. If so I'm not familiar with which gate they board for international flights. The last security check point is in the corridor leading to the boarding gates. You'll pass security at location #3 on this map, then again at the corner turning into the boarding gate corridor. There's no xray there, just two guards checking boarding passes again. I flew China Air from gate 5 which is the boarding area on the right in this photo. The gates all board from one big open, circular area and there are places to eat, restrooms (CR's), etc. You need to wait until you are at this area to buy your drinks for the flight. The guards at that last check will let you go back into the main corridor, just not back past the security point #3 in the photo.

http://www.jal.co.jp/en/inter/airport/asia/mnl/img/MNL_e.gif

There are a lot of "checks" in Manila and it really is a good idea to be there early. All airlines tell you to be early for international flights then you find that you breezed through it in half the time they said. Not the case in Manila...lol You'll likely use all of the 2 hours they recommend.

Everything will be easy for you. You don't have to collect those baggage after arriving in Manila, since you are a connecting flight to San Francisco, right?

I flew from TAC to MNL on Pal and I had to collect my luggage at the domestic arrival terminal (terminal 2) then recheck it at the China Air counter. China air has no partnership with PAL. It's a long way from the domestic (terminal 2) to international (terminal 1) terminal so you need to allow time for that as well. If you're flying PAL to the US then chances are you won't have to mess with luggage which would be a godsend! Oh, and be prepared to pay extra fees for your luggage. PAL's domestic has different weight limits than other airlines. My "per bag" weight was under 23kg for my checked bags and under 7kg for my carryon, but I paid P650 in Tacloban because my total weight was over their limit.

I don't remember the fees for PH nationals, but for me it was P30 "terminal fee" at TAC and P750 "Airport users charge" in Manila. If you're flying beyond SFO be ready for the $50 you'll have to pay for your luggage on a US domestic flight too! The nerve :bonk: makes me so angry..lol
