I know most of us in this forum either have a FIANCE or WIFE that is VIETNAMESE. For those that don't, no dis-respect intended. I know this may belong in the K1 Status forum BUT I was thinking this forum needs some more UPLIFTING and ENCOURAGING words to those just starting this journey.

Those of us who have survived and overcone this sometimes CONFUSING and EMOTIONAL battle can and should provide HOPE, ADVICE , and friendship to those embarking on their own VISA JOURNEY.

So with that said, here is a list from the published timelines who have INTERVIEWS before the end of 2009at HCMC.

Add your name to the list if I missed someone. GOOD LUCK

gOOD LUCK EVERYONe. It's so funny looking at this thread and reading you guys name. I remember I was here once. Refresh the memory a little bit and hope I don't have to do it over again.

I also have a funny story to tell you about the interview and my wife. So, on my third trip to vietnam which is 1-2 months after my wife 1st interview, I've ran across a tank top that my wife was wearing. It wasn't that attractive but it fits nicely to my wife's body. wowww she looks good. Anyway, back to the story. Guess what it says on the tank-top......................................................."WISHING FOR PINK" hahah it was perfect if my wife was to wear it to the interview isn't it? At least it creates a smile on the CO face. heheheh I think the tag on the shirt is made by "PINK".

wow, I talk too much. GOOD LUCK YOU GUYS! KEEP YOUR CHIN UP and be happy that you've been this far.

I pray Jessie and I will be added to your list!

We are praying for an interview in early December and that she will be here with me in California for Christmas!!!!!

What a great Christmas gift that would be!!!!!!!

Doug, Yours should be the first week in Dec. ..4th - 8th if not the week before.... the earlier the pink in Dec the better.. those flights get more expensive later in the month... especially for a purchases that close to the date of the flight... with all of the kids heading back to VN for the holiday break to visit family, there are near empty flights headed this way the weeks preceeding chritmas.

If I remember correctly, doesn't packet 3 have the interview letter with the interview date on it so that you can go get the medical exam before the interview?

Congrats on your case making it to the Consulate in HCMC.

Nope. That letter comes with packet 4.

Phuong sent off her DS-230's and DS-2001 on October 7th, so we're hoping to get packet 4 soon. Packet 3 took three weeks to arrive, so I emailed the consulate today hoping for a firm date. I need to reserve vacation time and book airline tickets, so the more advance notice I have, the better it will be. I expect her interview will be sometime in December.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

It's been a while, I forget what comes with which packet... Good Luck Mr. Jim on your fiancee's upcoming interview. (not that you would need it since you and your fiancee are probably one of the most informed people going through hcmc during this time period  )
