Quick question. My mom is cosponsoring for the Affidavit of Support. I know we both need to send proof of citizenship. I have my mom's birth certificate, but she was married and obviously her last name has been changed when she was married. How do I show her birth certificate is her when they are different last names?

A really good way to avoid all this is just to use a copy of her passport, all pages, even the blank ones, as her proof of citizenship.

If she does not have a passport in her present name, then you would need to attach copies of marriage certifcates showing name changes.
