Richard is right, tell the truth.

Anyone who suggests otherwise is actually in violation of VJ's TOS as they would be advising you to commit immigration fraud.

BTW, why post in the Philippines Sub-forum?

What to say? OK - here goes :D (is a joke, you can spank me later )

Hi - my name is Susie... I met Dr. Johnson-Avrile as he was trying to move 22 million dollars of a defunct bank account from Nigeria into the USA. Apparently I'm the sole descendant of his client - so I went to Nigeria to meet with him at his law office. I made such an impact on him, during the first meeting, that he decided that he MUST have me for his bride.

Over the normal course of events, we parcelled out that 22 million dollars, so I don't really feel that I need big US government involvement, as I've already paid the taxes on the funds.

*-----

the above was a joke - my apologies - I'm so tired of Nigerian 419/409 scams.

*----

Whatever you decide to do, always - TELL THE TRUTH.

Good Luck !!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

KDOR,

First, turn-off the CAPS-LOCK, it you use proper Caps it will make your posts easier to read and ALL-CAPS is generally considered shouting on the internet.

Second. you below quoted statements don't agree.

In your first post you were specifically asking if you should lie to the CO at the interview

JUST WANNA HAVE YOUR OPINIONS AND ADVICE ON WHICH IS BEST TO SAY AT ONE OF THE HARDEST, FRAUD OR SCAM US CONSULATE IN LAGOS THAT WE MET ONLINE OR WE THAT MY SISTER INTRODUCE HIM TO ME?

Then after a some members have advised against lying you say that you're just asking what to expect at the interview.

WE ARE TELLING THE TRUTH WE JUST NEED YOUR ADVISE ON POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE ON HOW TO ADDRESS OUR RED FLAGS.

Even the thread title asks what to say (i.e. lie or the truth at the interview) not what kind of experience should we expect..

first i took of the caps.

Guys i need you all to understand me, if their is anyone reading this and have or had experience of anyone been denied at interview for either meeting online or been introduce by a USC.

Couple of months ago 3month precisely if am not mistaken a VJ member who's spouse was interviewed puts up a comment here and said " IS IT A CRIME TO ME ONLINE''? and about 2months ago another VJ member who was introduced at the same consulate puts up here and said 'WE WERE DENIED' and her reasons was that her husband was introduce to her by a friend of hers who is also from met a man from the same country and they did get married but he was denied a visa and since about 2yrs they have met each other that his husband i think abbey she said was not really in contact with the other man who introduce him to her and at the interview her husaband was asked how they met and he told the truth that his friend was engaged to a USC over 2yrs ago and he introduce him to her and the ECO said SHE doesnt believe their marriage was real and tha SHE thinks is for immigration purposes and SHE is refusing him a visa.

I just wonder why peoples life and future gets determined in a 10minutes interview, i was just curious and hoping such thing dont happen at my spouse interview and ofcourse am gonna be ther with him at the interview whenever that is. WE (me and hubby) are HONEST people with no intentions to LIE. I just ask for peoples opinion BASED on experience or other post read on here WE are not seeking advice on how to LIE or tell LIE.

how many nigerian USC spouses DONT meet online? Im just curious, if you think about it...Im sure a VERY large percentage of the VJ members who are married to Nigerians met online. Im sure its not a rarity, but rather the norm.

Tell the truth but be over prepared with proof of an ongoing relationship.

btw- good for you for knowing and addressing your red flags

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

My husband and I met online and when he went to the interview he was asked first off "how we met" and he told them, my husband said the interviewer had a laptop and asked for the website, when he told her she went directly to the online website, like he was making up where we met? that didnt cause a problem with him getting his Visa.

Body language is a biggy for them....so honesty is the best policy.
