How do I establish the same residency? Do I need to send a mortgage statement or something? A copy of his driver's license? He owns the house; I just live in it.

yes that will work the I-864a has to be notarized so with that and the mortgage statement & driver's license you should be fine

The I-864/I-864A does not need to be notarized, from the adjudicator's field manual:

Some editions of the Form I-864 and Form I-864A include a jurat to be completed by a notary or by a consular or immigration officer to show that the person signed or acknowledged the signing of the Form I-864 or I-864A under oath. The Form I-864 and Form I-864A, however, provide that they are signed “under penalty of perjury.” Thus, 28 USC 1746 (which deals with the legal effect of unsworn statements) makes it unnecessary for Form I-864 and Form I-864A to be signed in the presence of or certified by a notary public or an Immigration or Consular Officer. Note that the jurat has been removed from the January 15, 2006 edition of the Forms I-864 and I-864A. Form I-86EZ is a newer form, and therefore never had the jurat.

Ok, just because I am paranoid, do I need to send anything to prove my own residency too? Here's exactly what I sent them:

• Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, as filed by Petitioner ME.

o 2008 IRS Tax Transcript.

o 2007 IRS Tax Transcript.

o 2006 IRS Tax Transcript.

o Payslips for the current year, to verify current annual income.

• Form I-864A, Contract between Sponsor and Household Member, as filed by father of Petitioner, DAD.

o 2008 IRS Tax Transcript.

o 2007 IRS Tax Transcript.

o 2006 IRS Tax Transcript.

o W-2s for years 2008 and 2007, to verify individual income for those years.

o Letter to Verify Employment.

o Pay stubs for August 2009.

What I plan to add: my original birth certificate and a copy of it, to establish my relationship to my father. A copy of my father's driver's license (front and back) and a copy of my father's latest mortgage statement.

Is there ANYTHING ELSE I should have sent them that I haven't? I want to assemble this package and overnight it tomorrow, to circumvent the inevitable RFE.

I was under the impression that you need a bank statement of some sort as well as a letter of employment. Maybe I was wrong. But it couldn't hurt to add these, I'm guessing?

Spec, what about a complete copy of your fathers passport?

A utility bill in both of your names would do nicely. Or maybe a magazine or some sort of mail addressed to you at that address

Paris:

What would I need that for? To establish his citizenship?

Also, can I send this in before the RFE? If so, how do I address it and label it to successfully pre-empt that stage?

EDIT: So I need to send in bills of mine sent to that address to prove I also live there? Would tuition bills suffice, do you think?

EDIT 2: This sucks SO MUCH. I've been literally assembling this stuff FOREVER in advance; how could I miss these huge gaps in my packet?!
