I would just like to say that I really appreciate all the information I have received here. It has helped my husband and I tremendously in our K3 petition and will continue to be valuable as our case progresses.

My name is Rebecca and I am 22 years old. I met my husband, Baljit, this past January 1st on the internet. We just sort of bumped into each other on a popular social networking site and starting talking. It's hard to explain how someone can fall in love without ever physically meeting the other person but I truly believe we are soulmates and it just sort of, happened. I live in the U.S. and he lives in India but we knew we had to meet. He was planning to go to London to study so we exhausted the possibility of me going there on a student or tourist visa, but it just seemed unlikely to happen. We consulted lawyers about bringing him here on *any* visa and they advised against it, saying it would almost be impossible to get approved. So the only real option left was for me to get an Indian visa and see him. We had a long, sordid ordeal getting my parents to approve (how do you let your only daughter fly 9,000 miles to a country she knows nothing of to a man she's never met?) but when they realized I was serious they gave their support and saw me off. Meeting each other only strengthened our feelings and we got married a week after I landed. The weather in India made me sick so I had to shorten my visit and leave just after a month. Now we are apart again until his K3 visa gets approved which, god willing, should be within just a few months.

I'm not sure if that was too long for a first post but again I would just like to say hi to all of you and thank you for creating such a great resource for people like me to gain support from.
