I wonder if she is like that guy who wrote the Million Little Pieces book. After he went on Oprah and stuff it turned out what he said was all true about being an addict was actually all made up. Remember him?

James Frey. He didn't make up the whole story - he was an addict, but embellished it for artistic license.

Was as much to do with people's expections of truthfulness in memoir, than in anything deliberately deceitful going on.

Oprah was clearly "had" ... though for a much briefer time than you... as you seem to still be on the hook.

Just so happens I saw this segment while waiting at a tire store, I seriously suspected the Guy was Full of BS as he relayed such stories as -getting a tooth filled with no pain suppressant.

How would one even find a dentist to do such a thing?

Oprah was taken in by the "emotion" of his story she over looked such stark flaws in it.

Abortions are not the answer to her clearly severe problems. If all abortions were performed on people who had mental health issues (regardless of whether one calls her a lunatic or not, she is not functioning at a very high level, clearly) that abortions were not the answer to, then clearly abortions would be unnecessary at best and facilitating the non functioning at worst.

Yep. Her romantic life hasn't been the most stable. That I think might have something to do with it. I actually think she's been in therapy for a bit but I haven't met her again in a few years.

And with regards to James Frey - I just read his latest book a few weeks ago. Not an intellectual read, but good enough for a few hours on a plane. Very, very easy read.
