unless you really have a very valid reason to move the interview on a later date (note that a 'No-Show' on the interview date means problem) .... else, why shouldn't you go for it? it's the day everybody's been waiting for

But if you mean YOU going here and accompany her to the interview, if I were you, IMO - I'll stay and save .. :)

... on the other hand, who wouldn't want to have their fiancee to be with them

oh well .. it's really up to you ;)

I went because I wanted to accompany my fiance back home with me. Sometimes it is really the first time they have traveled by air and most of the time they have for sure not been on a 8000+ mile trip. Leaving my fiance on her own to try and go through a strange place in a new country is something that I did not even think about for a second.

If you have the money and the time, by all means go!!

Its a very stressful time and your company would help a lot.

However, these wonderful ladies are very strong and will be able to go through this interview process without you.

Its up to you and what you think is best.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

My husband wasn't with me during my interview, and I didn't encounter any problems. They even asked me why me and my husband didn't see each other for more than a year. I just answered that we're saving for our church wedding, and church wedding here in US with 75 guest is very expensive. And then, I said we're having Filipiniana theme wedding.

My interview was only 5 minutes. But I waited for 5 hours because there were a lot of visa applicants on my appointment date.

If your documents are complete and all the process you've been through are not complicated as others. And you meet all the requirements needed by the CO. I suggest to save the money of going in the Philippines, and use the money to have fun with your wife to be when she get here in US.

I didn't go for the interview. My wife was only given five days notice of the interview schedule so I really didn't have a choice. I couldn't get time off work on such short notice, especially since I had just been over for a visit a few weeks before.

She did fine without me and somehow managed to make it all the way from Manila to DC on her own. :)

Everybody's situation is different. I really want to be there for my fiance, actually if I have to swim there I will! My reasons are this and this may or may not be of help to you.

1. She is the most dynamic and wonderful woman on the planet. I truly got very lucky!

2. In light of the fact there are so many fraudulant applications going that just my presence there pretty much erases any doubt.

3. Anyone going through the interview has to be very nervous and she is no different, so I will be there for that shoulder to lean

on.

4. The trip here is 13,000 miles with several stops plus the immigration routine at the POE. I want to be with her through all that.

5. When the CO looks at us and hopefully says 'You Approved" We plan on immediately going to church together and give thanks.

Well!.....These are my personal reasons for being there, but now you need to do what is right for you guys and believe me, I truly apreciate the value of a dollar.

We wish both of you all the happiness in the world.
