thisislove...have you registered on USCIS? Have you had any touches or anything lately? We haven't had a touch on the EAD since the biometrics. We are hoping that it is approved any day now.

Ya we are looking for around the first of November but praying hard that it comes next week. LOL.

It might be quicker getting the Green Card with the interview rather than being transferred is what I am reading.

I couldn't believe we were transferred but very happy about it.

Interesting...my bf and I were talking about this the other day w/ regards to my goddaughter (who is 10). I know that my bf had her take her Chris Brown poster had a real conversation with her about what happened with Chris Brown and Rihanna. Which led to a conversation about abuse, the way men/boys should treat women/girls. Respect. All of that. My bf said that she would not allow her to buy his music (or she buy it) anymore. She had posters of him on her wall, but she (my goddaughter) eventually took them down on her own because she didn't like what he did to Rihanna. Your situation is a little different because your daughter is a little older and is a little less impressionable and has a little better judgement. I honestly don't know if I would feel comfortable w/ her going. I certainly wouldn't pay for the ticket. So she would for sure have to find another way to get there.

its actually my 8 yr old mrs p..

she is a die hard fan.. she doesn't even talk about him that much anymore, cuz as u said, we did have the talk about the situation and how unacceptable that behavior was.

however.. we still listen to his music.. telling them we all are entitled to some mistakes in life and everybody deserves a second chance with boundaries of course...they played his new song today and it was beautiful.. i feel sorry for him, he's so young.. but many young girls are going thru this w/ their boyfriend and its a hard subject to dissect..

What happens when the "Entertainer" Chris crosses over into the "person" Chris. IMO, I feel like this justification that we use for him (and folks like MJ) is the reason why they do engage in these actions/activities anyway and never seek the help that they need & continue to be perpetrators of crimes. This "I will look the other way because his music is nice" syndrome is why artists will continue to live lives addicted to drugs, abuse, etc. Hypothetical question: If you and your family decided that you wanted to go to counseling, and you found a therapist that had rave reviews throughout your community, in journals, etc and decided to see him/her. And so you all begin counseling, and after awhile it comes out that he/she is a child abuser and/or molester, would you continue to see them, simply because they gave good advice and people had good things to say about them based on their public persona?
