1luv..I am glad that you guys talked it out. Although I believe that there are times when the child is not going to like you, like what you say, like what you do. It is your job to mold them and discipline them. I know it is hard to hear or see when they say they hate you...I remember saying it under my breath to my mother many times. I feel you are doing your job if they have those feelings. I always tell my daughter that she doesn't have to like me and if she doesn't like the job I am doing with her she can take it up with my boss...GOD.

luv..i think ur harboring too much against this kid..i'm sorry but this is what i feel...u have to gain her trust before u can throw all ur punishments on her..i feel bad for her

I kinda agree with Chiney - not necessarily that the punishment was harsh - that is just one of those punishments that I can't stand (no offense, luv) - When I used to work at an afterschool program, the preteen boys were ALWAYS pushing to see what they could get away with - especially swearing - The director used to make them sit and write, over and over - I will not swear, ...... - they just acted up more around her - They started swearing around me, and every swear I told them - Oops, that's 10 pieces of garbage - When they looked at me like huh? I told them - garbage comes outta your mouth, you gotta put it somewhere, so when we get to camp, you pick up 10 pieces of garbage per swear off the ground - They joked around, but they did it - Pretty soon, they stopped swearing around me - and if they slipped, they picked up the garbage and came to tell me that they had done it!

I think it sounds like you are hitting a point, luv, where she's testing you and pushing your limits - I can remember telling my father I hate him - and getting my mouth washed out with soap = only made me feel more like that, lol! Talking to her and figuring out alternative ways to fix or address the situation, I think, are gonna get you much further -

thisislove...have you registered on USCIS? Have you had any touches or anything lately? We haven't had a touch on the EAD since the biometrics. We are hoping that it is approved any day now.
