Why baby-mama called hubby and chewed him a new one because he emailed her asking if I can pick up the baby 1 day when I am there this weekend and get some updated pictures...!!

She told him if he and his wife want pickney we need to have our own and leave her daughter alone.....

Hubby call and told me he was done unless she called back and apologized then he is leaving her and her daughter alone..

I feel caught in the middle, and I hope she is not stupid enough to keep his child away from him because he is married!!

Interesting article -

More J'cans said fleeing America

Tough economy, stricter enforcement of immigration policies trigger return home

BY INGRID BROWN Observer senior reporter browni@jamaicaobserver.com

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Scores of Jamaicans are believed to be among the 1.7 million illegal immigrants in the United States who have opted to return home in the last two years, rather than endure the harsh realities of a tough American economy and stricter enforcement of immigration policies.

According to the US Centre for Immigration Studies (CIS), the population of undocumented persons in the United States declined by some 14 per cent or 1.7 million people between the summer of 2007 and spring of 2009.

Analysing Census Bureau data, researchers Steven Camarota and Karen Jensenius calculate that the number of immigrants entering the USA illegally has fallen by one-third, while the number returning home has more than doubled.

"Both increased immigration enforcement and the recession seem to explain this decline," they report.

But so far there are no clear cut figures as to how many Jamaicans are choosing this route, since persons turning up at the two international airports on the island are not required to declare what their status was in the country from which they are arriving.

However, those closely connected to the migrant communities in New York, one of the largest settlements of Jamaicans in the US, say there is an ever increasing number of our citizens who are falling into this category.

Sorry to here about the drama Portland;

My fiancé also has a child who is 6 years old. He has not been in a relationship with the mother since his son was 15 months. When we started dating and I started going down to JA I told him to stay involved with his son and not to hide me from anyone. Once we started K1 papers he did not want to tell her but I told him not to keep anything away from her cause when his son gets to the US I will be taking care of him. When I was in JA in June he spent time with us and I had my 3 girls there too. One day when we were in Kingston he stop by to see his son and I introduced myself to her and explained what was happening so we have an understanding. I'm a baby mama so I know how I would like to be dealt with so I'm going to deal with her that way. We are not friends but we understand each other.
