Happy Birthday, Jawi876. :D

I have been working on an issue at work for a high profile customer since Saturday @ 11:00 pm . I don't mind working on the weekend that's nothing, but I am hotter than fish grease cause I missed my Lashtician appointment!!! UGHHH LOL. Ok I will catch up later

 ??

-------------------

So to my horror, I log into my cell phone provider's to see if we are okay with minutes used 'n stuff. Why did I see $132 in charges above & beyond the monthly bill, from calls to Jamaica (and Germany)? :crying:

In Steven's phone, his friends/family are listed with their Rebtel # as the primary, and the real # as a secondary. So if Steven scrolls to their names to call, it uses the primary #, which is local ($0/minute). However, if he goes to recent calls to return a call, it uses the Jamaican # ($1.49/minute). Apparently that happened enough times to come to $132. :crying:

Fortunately, I knew that TMobile has a discounted int'l add-on. You pay $5/month and get cheaper international calls. Jamaica is .48/min, Germany is .28/min. I had the customer service rep add that $5 and retroactively apply the discounted amount to the previous calls. That dropped the overage from $132 to $52 (including the $5), saving $80.

I share this in case anyone else has a similar experience: check with your phone company to see if you can reduce the amount of the overage charges.

And, then beat it in his head to call the other way!

Does anyone's kid have a Nintendo DS? This is the 1 thing Tierra REALLY wants this christmas. They have DS Lite, DSi and just DS. Her dad told me not to get the Lite.... but WallyWorld only has the Lite and the i... Should I get the DSi???

Thanks! :)

Both of my kids have just the DS. They both like it a lot and said that for them it is just fine. The DSI has more features like internet and a camera I think which they don't need. So they just have the DS. If there are gaming stores in your area they usually sell used ones for a discount price which we did and the DS works great. Also they sell used games for a lower price as well.

Yep. My kids have the DS. And, I agree on the game stores. Those places are the best!

You and me both Cat...they love their DS players though and take them everywhere. Helps out when you want them to sit there and be quiet. LOL! You can go to www.gamestop.com and see where the nearest store is to you.

oh thanks! I will have to see if I can find a "gaming store" LOL! I am so bad.. the last video game system I ever had was Atari!

We have One called GameStop that my kids love. You can buy and sell used video games and equipment. My son gets tired of a game and basically trades it in for a new one. You can buy new there too.

The thing to keep into perspective is that the process takes roughly the same time for everyone. There are earlier and later exceptions; but for the most part it's the same. Some people wait in the beginning, some people in the middle, and some in the end. Some people get approved immediately and then wait months just to get their passport back. You just never know.

You can't focus too much on the little stuff, Bunz. It will happen. Just hang in there.

Another thing, Bunz. While this site is great for support and wasting time, I found that it made me much more antsy. I focused on just chatting. I DID NOT check every day as some people do. In fact, you will find I recommend you don't focus on the day to day stuff. When good news comes, it comes. If you look every day or even think about it too much every single day, you will just drive yourself crazy.

Keep busy and know it's coming in it's own time. You have no control over any of it.
