ok, what is your opinion on gift/baby registries? my cousin just had a baby shower and was registered at like 5 places..i thought that was a lot....but i guess better to have more choices

if you were buying a gift for someone, would you rather have many places to chose from? would you buy it online or rather look at it in the store?

I wouldn't care how many. I'd go to the store if the store is close (within 1 mile), otherwise, order online!

Here is my speech to my girls.

This is an American house run Guyanese style. If you want to be loved, treated with respect, fed and clothes you can stay BUT if you do not like my rules and is here to give me nothing but trouble, headache and heartache GET THE F. U. C. K out. Thats all well and good and we all have those speeches I am Haitian and Jamaican I come from that same stock however realistically when you say GET OUT where are they going? If their Father is not in their lives or family members have had enough where do they go the STATE? @ 18 yes but until then you are legally responsible or do you band together and work through all your options for the sake of family.

My girls have friends that are in the system and they see how it is with them and they see how happy their friends are when they are at our home. So they know they are better off at home and not in the system. That keeps them from acting up. As I said its a speech that I give them. I think I have only had to repeat that speech 2 times. Every kid is diffrent what works for mine might not work for others. I put the fear of God in them and it worked.

Exactly! Placing my children in the system is not an option, no matter what I know God only gives me as much as I can handle. I was a single mother raising my children alone before my Husband was ever a thought and that was a tougher task than the behavior issues I am dealing now. I know that parenting and let alone family is nuh easy but I won't give up, and will do what I have to do cause in the end family is most important period.
