yes, that is what i said also,, all that matter is we were approved, but when roger said that he felt a lil like we won a race and we ran the worst. we just got a medal for showing up... i was like YESSSS... i really feel the same..

but girl we are HAPPY :dance::dance:

guess what.. he got a job offer RIGHT as we left the interview!!! the voicemail said the found his resume on Careerbuilder and for him to come in for a typing test.. roger said.. uh.. typing.. cyaan do dat LOL.. aww dang.. we got to get you some typing tutorials LOL

That is wonderful Quanna, you can work on hims with the typing tutorial that is a small thing to a giant!

lol philly! my favorite smiley!!! dats why mi haffi love yuh so

so she asks roger what did about me did he fall in love with? roger said, she is caring and loving, sweet, and i just love her..

she says, so when you met her, what about her personality did you like so much? he said that we had so much in common, she is very big on family , she is very good w/ kids, she fit like a glove (fit like a glove LOL)

the lady asked the THIRD TIME.. what about her PERSONALITY.. besides she is good w/ kids and she fit like a glove..

i am looking at him just smiling sweetly, but thinking.. Weh deh all di bumbaclaat Jamaican love talk ya always spitting dangit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol this is not the time to be to the point and private.. spill ya guts man!

LOL he was nervous and understandably the whole process is nerve wracking!

i think he said caring and loving again.. (my poor baby.. his tongue was on LOCK)

so she turns to me and asks me what about him do i love.. i break it down how God sent me the characteristics i had been missing in past relationships and had prayed for.. it was a waiting to exhale moment OKAY lol..

i told her he was quick to recognize his faults and apologize w/out prompting, sensitive to my feelings, enjoyed talking, she interuppted and said HE DOES?????? dyam lol

i told her well, i mean, he likes talking about problems and not letting them stew..

she said that was nice, most men don't do that.

then my baby comes in.. yes.. i don't like to go to sleep angry or let her go to work in a bad mood, we should resolve any problems right away.. You go baby!!!!!

so she asked roger again when we met... he said it,, and she said and your parents live in FL.. he sat there confused.. i was like SAY NO!!!! he finally was like no ma'am the are in JA.. she said oh i thought you said you were visiting your parents in FL.. last year..

WE BOTH had said visiting family, but she was talking to roger i waited for him to explain and then i chimed in w/ him and said.. no we said FAMILY

so she asked him about his kids, there ages, did he talk to them, did he send them money..

she asked me was i aware at the time his baby mama became pregnant w/ the youngest child.. UH OH..

i told her not at first but of course we were not talking during that time.. we had "broken up" when we did reconnect, he did tell me reluctantly, but of course i had my own skeletons in the closet so i chose to continue the relationshop..

so then she asked roger to step outside to talk to me.. i assumed she is gonna do a stokes interview where she sees if both of us come up w/ same answers separately.. his toothbrush color, what side of bed he sleeps on .. come on.. IM READY!!!

but as she comes back in from showing roger to the door, she says she wants to talk to me.. and i feel like this is something VERY different.

Uh oh I am on the edge of my seat......

Okay Quana, I am waiting. I haven't done any work in the past 30 min trying to catch up. Your story is soooooooo! I am ready for the what happened next.

Another Mama Jew on the way!!!!!

so she sat down and goes into her speel about her job to protect the us citizen (here we go)

she explained 2 kinds of fraud... one where the person knowingly usually for money enters into a marriage to assist the foreigner and another, not so recognizable when the us citizen is tricked.. she said this is the worst cuz blah blah blah.. we have ALL heard this before..

i sat quietly as if she was a friend telling me about her job, smiling, even commenting WOW sometimes.. she tells me that either way the punishment is severe and is only on the us citizen which she wishes there were more penalties on the foreigner. she explained penalites saying something about losing benefits and your children losing benefits (????) she said after it passes her desk, there is no going back that a person who has ANY thoughts that there marriage may not be real has a chance to turn back w/ her without any fear of retaliation from the foreign spouse..

i thanked her for sharing that information and explained that i have seen that fraud first hand which is why it took me so long to accept roger into my life, that i did not want to show my children another messed up relationship and as their example i wanted to show them a marriage they would want to pattern their own after..

so she tells me that many times that is the case, but she has seen it over and over again. and she believes that HE is out to have his family come after he has been married to me for 2 years..

my mouth dropped, all this time she was speaking generally altho i knew what was implied, but now she has called my husband out.. i said, "ROGER??????"

yes.. i believe if they are not already here, they are coming and that is the plan, the childrens mother may already be here married to someone else and when they finish their 2 years married to you and her petitioner, then they will marry each other.. if they are not already married..

i laughed and told her that the only phone we have is mine and i answer it, they are calling from Jamaica.. 876 area code.. their relationship is a rocky one and has been since i met him 2 years ago, but they get along for their children

she said, does he speak another language while on the phone..

i told her not normally, but yes he does speak patois and i am very knowledgeable about the language, enough to understand the jist of a conversation,

i told her i know i sound like all the other women that come thru her office and are mistaken about their husbands intentions but i have not gone into this blindly..

she said it is her job to watch body language, thats why the seats are so far away.. she said roger was very nervous..

i said, most ppl are in this situation..

she said he was shaking as he gave her documents, even demonstated LOL (roger still says he wasn't and i dont' recall that) he was unusually anxious

she said she is only saying all this cuz its her job and i have children and sometimes the children are overshawdowed ..

i told her again, that i thank her for her words.. she said she will let him sit out there and sweat a lil more and started to ask me ssa questions.. i gave her better answers that i give the ppl i deal w/ everyday LOL

she gave some advice about the kids getting along w/ roger and i talked w/ her about my kids and their bipolar dad LOL.. and she said she guess she have let him sweat enough..

she said she would scare him and say, she asking are u cooking dinner tonight.. i told her.. oh he cooks everyday so thats not a good one.. she said oh he does..

so she brought him in and said... so ur wife says ur a good cook.. he said, EXCELLENT lol.. i said tell her bout thanksgiving baby..

so he told her that he made curry chicken and rice and peas, and it was all gone before all the rest of the food..

she said curry chicken was her favorite dont' get her started.. she said she loves ELAINES..this jamaican food restaurant..

it was such a coincedence cuz we were going there right after the interview!!! and told her and that we could bring her a plate.. she laughed and hit our paperwork and said APPROVED LOL..

we talked bout the restaurant a bit moren and then she said that she was approving our i130 and our i485 and that we had to file for LOC in 2 yrs.. we shook her hand and left

roger said that he wished she would have asked him stuff after he sat out, cuz all the stuff came flooding to him, i told him don't worry about it.. we will get them at LOC.

i am happy, but i wanted her to walk away believing in us, in our marriage.. i wanted to convince her and we didn't she tacked us as another fraud case.. if she approved us, dyam who do they deny???? LOL

roger said if she had denied us, it would have been like going to jail and you know you didnt do the crime.. their goes that eloquence?? where was it 10 min ago??? LOL

oh well, Praise the Lord anyhow!!!

Wow Quana I think my heart would have stopped beating if that was me in that interview room. You handled it girl!

dillon.. i was so taken back.. i was like..look at all our pictures?? look at the love??? roger couldn't help that he was nervous, he is always a one answer man too, he doesn't ramble like me LOL.. i thought it would be okay cuz i heard so many reviews where the ppl say "don't give too much information, only address whats being asked at that time."

in our case, it was the MORE said the better.. esp the fact that he has such young children.. she need to hear how head over heels he was which he tells me everyday..

this whole immigration stuff is such a dog show.. i mean its the most unnatural thing.. you have to think about everything.. am i being affectionate enough?? am i doing too much???

we held hands in the waiting room, he had his arm around me.. in the interviewing room, i didn't feel it was the time for that.. i should have sat in his lap and he should have gave me a french kiss right in front of her..:rofl:

dang tre..u mad at everybody tideh!

we still love you

Hey Everyone!

After forgetting my password I gave in and re-set it, so I'm back. First of all CONGRATS to MY2, Quana, and Bunz. Also I know some new ladies recently got approvals, so congrats to them too. Sorry I don't know all of your names yet. Oh and also Congrats to Nat on her wedding. I loved the coordinated outfts in JA colors.

As for me.. I had a nice wedding and am so happy to be married. Heavensent came and she is such a sweetie.

I waited too long on getting Vaughn his SS so now we have to wait for his work permit. I'm working on getting his AOS package out but I'm not as motivated with him by my side plus the $1,010 fee. Of course I want/need him to stay so I'll get it together this week.

I look forward to getting back into the mix.

Oh, and how could I forget. Finesse- Congats on the IDENTICAL twin girls!! I would love to have that. What names are you thinking? I know you had a boy/girl twin names, but what about for two divas??

Dis a duppy mi see??

Finally she returns......

Wow Quanna,

Thanks for that detailed review it really gives us insight as to what they are looking for @ the AOS. It's really deep she targeted him for fraud because of his nervousness and body language, although those are signs to look for, but is obviously displayed in these types of cases. This whole process and interview was sanctioned by the Creator to come through without a hitch so you know there was no reason to worry at all and just to go with the flow. I am so proud of you Quanna, you told the truth and the truth and your love of Roger prevailed. Bless the both of you I am so happy girl your journey is so amazing! (L)(F)
