At work with nothing to do. Packing up my office. This location is closing and I will have a hour and 1/2 commute each way every day. I am hating the sound of that.

okay so we arrive at the place 30 min early for 11:30 appt.

we had skimmed the dallas uscis reviews and felt we were very prepared.. all knowledge about each other families, our children, our journey had been rehearsed and re rehearsed.. we both were confident.. i was just a lil on edge cuz i hate the NOT KNOWING factor.. will it be a nice person, a mean person, will they try to trick us.. i told roger to stick to his answers cuz ive read where they try to trick you..

We prayed that God would bless our nerves cuz the approval was definate in our eyes so we just wanted to be stress free while we wait on it.

we go thru the security checks, go upstairs to the receptionist and she gives us a restaurant style buzzer.. there are about 6 couples and/or families waiting. I read where sometimes u wait 45 min AFTER your designated time so i tried to relax.. i could tell roger was a lil anxious.. he kept looking at his watch as it got closer to the time.. he said everytime an interviewer came to pick up someone "maybe its our time" i said baby??? all this ppl been waiting and we gonna get called b4 them??? he laughed and said, maybe they are here real early (???) LOL..

so anyway more ppl got called and looked like the appt were going real fast..ppl would be out in a matter of min, MOST ppl had lawyers, i was like. PSHHH we got VJ!!!!

so our time came, the interviewer was an older caucasion woman, she smiled which alot of them did not, so i felt good. I noticed the chairs were VERY far from her desk. not very inviting, but hey this is an interview right. i didn't sweat it.. she swore us in, asked us for our id's and passports, asked for original divorce decree, marriage license and our birth certificates.

asked us did we have children, asked roger for his children's bc's which he told her he didn't have, asked him where and with whom do they live.

she turned to me and asked how we met.. i beamed and gave her my account..she asked how did we keep in contact all this time, i told her

she turned to roger and asked how does he get along w/ children.. he said, Good, we get along.. she tried to goad him a bit to say more, but he said again, we are good, everythings good

i braved butting in when he didn't say much and said that roger cooks for them and is always trying to play good cop when i want to punish them.. that there has been obstacels of course being a step family but things are progressing well. roger says, yes, we are doing alot better now.. (go baby)

she mentioned to roger that this will require alot more effort on his part than the kids (WOW, just what i told him a mnth ago, but moving on)

She asked for proof of joint residency WHAT???? i was ready to give proof of RELATIONSHIP but i explained to her that w/out his ssn which we just got last week, i could not put him on my lease or bank account, the only utility i have (water is paid w/ rent) is electric and they would not put 2 names on it. i don't have cable or internet. switch to positives... i told her I do have a insurance record showing that he is my spouse (get up, hoping she doesn't tell me to sit back down, and hand her the proofs) that i have cards and emails from family and friends, and pictures of course from our long 2 year courtship and marriage.

she looks thru it and asks roger when did we meet again? he tells her, and how did we keep in contact..

she said so ya'll talked continually all that time..

i told her bout the stint in which we did not talk and were "broken up" i wanted to put everything out there and im glad i did, cuz this is where it all went downhill...

Louis and I didnt have an interview but he would have been the same way. I always feel like I talk for him. I even asked if it bugged him and he said no. He would rather I did all the talking.

yes, that is what i said also,, all that matter is we were approved, but when roger said that he felt a lil like we won a race and we ran the worst. we just got a medal for showing up... i was like YESSSS... i really feel the same..

but girl we are HAPPY

guess what.. he got a job offer RIGHT as we left the interview!!! the voicemail said the found his resume on Careerbuilder and for him to come in for a typing test.. roger said.. uh.. typing.. cyaan do dat LOL.. aww dang.. we got to get you some typing tutorials LOL

After forgetting my password I gave in and re-set it, so I'm back. First of all CONGRATS to MY2, Quana, and Bunz. Also I know some new ladies recently got approvals, so congrats to them too. Sorry I don't know all of your names yet. Oh and also Congrats to Nat on her wedding. I loved the coordinated outfts in JA colors.

As for me.. I had a nice wedding and am so happy to be married. Heavensent came and she is such a sweetie.

I waited too long on getting Vaughn his SS so now we have to wait for his work permit. I'm working on getting his AOS package out but I'm not as motivated with him by my side plus the $1,010 fee. Of course I want/need him to stay so I'll get it together this week.

I look forward to getting back into the mix.

Oh, and how could I forget. Finesse- Congats on the IDENTICAL twin girls!! I would love to have that. What names are you thinking? I know you had a boy/girl twin names, but what about for two divas??

Tell me about it. My honey is planning on buying his plane ticket for the 10th of Dec. The job moves Thursday, but I will be able to stay with family during the week sometimes. He says he doesn't mind if it is going to save us money in the long run.

i told her he was quick to recognize his faults and apologize w/out prompting, sensitive to my feelings, enjoyed talking, she interuppted and said HE DOES?????? dyam lol

i told her well, i mean, he likes talking about problems and not letting them stew..

she said that was nice, most men don't do that.

then my baby comes in.. yes.. i don't like to go to sleep angry or let her go to work in a bad mood, we should resolve any problems right away.. You go baby!!!!!

so she asked roger again when we met... he said it,, and she said and your parents live in FL.. he sat there confused.. i was like SAY NO!!!! he finally was like no ma'am the are in JA.. she said oh i thought you said you were visiting your parents in FL.. last year..

WE BOTH had said visiting family, but she was talking to roger i waited for him to explain and then i chimed in w/ him and said.. no we said FAMILY

so she asked him about his kids, there ages, did he talk to them, did he send them money..

she asked me was i aware at the time his baby mama became pregnant w/ the youngest child.. UH OH..

i told her not at first but of course we were not talking during that time.. we had "broken up" when we did reconnect, he did tell me reluctantly, but of course i had my own skeletons in the closet so i chose to continue the relationshop..

so then she asked roger to step outside to talk to me.. i assumed she is gonna do a stokes interview where she sees if both of us come up w/ same answers separately.. his toothbrush color, what side of bed he sleeps on .. come on.. IM READY!!!

but as she comes back in from showing roger to the door, she says she wants to talk to me.. and i feel like this is something VERY different.

well our approval was quite bittersweet both roger and I agree.. we feel happy that we got approved, but kind of not happy because we feel the interview could have went a little better. We prepared for a onslaught of questions, had quizzed each other quite often, but our interviewer only asked a few questions to open up a dialogue.. I, making a living talking to people plus im a bit longwinded anyway, picked up on tha cue, I talked and talked and gave exampes... but Roger being so nervous and he's not much of a talker anyway, the words would not just come out! LOL i saw hum struggling and i wanted to help so bad but i didn't know if that would make things worse. i didnt want to look like i was coaching him.. will give more details in a bit..
