Hello Dan-Dan and Welcome! First off- AN ATTORNEY IS NOT NEEDED!!!! I hired one ($1000) and they seem to only prolong the process.. All you need is right here on VJ!! Trust me- these girls have been through it all.. I began this process back in March... We just got our interview date scheduled for Dec. 14th- So we are almost there!! You can post your questions here- any time- amy time of the day throughout the day.. Everyone here is this section (our little Yardie section) is BIG HELP, Trust me!!

Hello, DanDan and welcome

to VJ

I don't think its necessary to get a lawyer, like Spanglish said they prolong the process, check out the guides and do it yourself. but if u are not comfortable ask someone to help u maybe a friend or family member because its not easy but it takes a lot of reading and asking questions

Good luck on your journey

Welcome Dan-Dan like the others said I dont think you need to hire an attorney. Its a rather simple process once you have all your paper work together. You can always ask us questions and we will be glad to help.

Congrats My2 on mister getting the medical picked up!

 Congrats MY2

Awwwe, that's great! I know Lehi is real excited too....he's been dreaming of turkey & he won't have to cook a thing. We'll be doing a purely traditional meal this time...maybe next year we can throw in some Jamaican dishes but for now, it's turkey, stuffing, mashed taters & gravy, buns, cranberries & all that! I also told him he's NOT ALLOWED to put ketchup on the turkey!! I said, this time, he has to do it how we do....maybe another time I'll let him sully the turkey with ketchup!

I can't wait to see the pics of Lehi his smile is infectious! LOL he is like me all I can think about is that BIRD haaaa those dishes got me hungry again, the squash did nothing for me LOL. We are doing the traditional meal but we always have rice and peas, goat and fried fish too. I am sooooo excited  Haaaaaa Damian loves ketchup on everything too we will have to see if he drenches the BIRD

That was LoveSponge....

OOPs congrats Lovesponge better late than never

I was a little worried about this too since we only have a few we spent more time alone and no one was there to take pics we took puc of each other but only a few together ..

I put an album together with about 40 pics and Garfield said they did not look at them...Go figure.

Spanglish, Jamerican, & ALL the Yardies,

This is my situtation... I Met my Sweetie in June and recently got engaged, I am SOOO ready to get started with the process.

I live in the Houston Texas area, We are not married yet, but are ready to be together! I would love to get married in JA but I have heard that the K-3 process is much longer than the K-1 so I am going to go that route (K-1). I wonder if the process is slower at the Holiday Season? I have read some recent timelines and some of you got interviews in as little as 3months :wow: That is what has encouraged me to jump right in and get the process started! So I will be filling out the app today. I AM SURE I WILL BE NEEDING SOME HELP & REASSURANCE! Thanks in advance

Hi Dan-Dan, first Welcome to VJ. The best place to start is the guidelines. I started my process without it when I first applied and then a good friend told me about this site. Read the guides and ask questions along the way. People are very knowledgeable and also willing to help. Good luck on your journey!

Good Morning Yardies...

Good Luck and Positive Vibes today for Hays, Hearts in Jamaica & Jo and Danny

Yes good luck to all the ladies :)... I feel the positive vibes! :)
