Hey C; unless things changed from July last year, I didn't need a SS# when we got our marriage license. My husband wasn't even with me when I applied...I gave them his passport. He still didn't have his SS# when we got married which was a week after I got the marriage license...it's easy up on my side...link me if when u get a chance...i drap a sleep at 7:30 lastnight and didn't get a chance to call you...G will be here next week........it's party time.

Yeah, we didn't need the Social Security number either even though the web site said we did. They just used his passport number as his ssn.

Yup! And what makes it even better, my supervisor just let me use personal time (since I'm out of vacation) tomorrow... I'll just log in from home a couple of times to see if anything urgent comes up.

I bought hubby's daughter a brown Barbie & a couple outfits the first time I visited. Then the yaad dog nyam the head off so I brought another the next time. After that, I don't know what happened. Hope she enjoyed her doll though at least for a little bit.

so she is in her box safe and sound

Nope; he wasn't with me when I applied for the license...I had to be sworn to the information I provided in the documents and the IDs that I provided. The only time he signed was the day of the ceremony when we got the certificates all certified I asked for 3 of them.

why do those procedures sound so complicated?

it took us 15 mins and the longest part was standing in line waiting

it took us 15 mins and the longest part was standing in line waiting

Bunz it no complicated; I didn't even spend 10 mins when I applied for the license and the ceremony would have taken less than 15 mins, but I kept joking around wid my mad self -- not complicated at all...I can still remember the look on my husband's face.

ladyc.. i know im in a whole other side of the country than yours, but we didn't need an ssn to get married either, thats a wierd rule if it is right..

GUESS WHAT????? we got the EAD yesterday YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.. we were so excited.. im so happy for him and US..another income in the house YIPPPEEE.. he's been the best hubby even not able to work, i can't wait to see how our life will be w/ him working everyday.. im so excited. next step, get ssn and drivers license!!! and another car..lol mi affi tell miself, one step at a time quans..

Lawd I wish the process was as easy in JA LOL we were back and forth downtown Duke St. and the main office building getting all of our docs submitted and notarized. We started out at 7:00Am and didn't get married until 2:00 pm from all the waiting around needless to say I was so tired after all that I almost didn't make our wedding party :unsure:

Anyone heard of Zuzu? Some sort of mechanical hamster. Supposed to be one of the hot toys for Christmas. They are already sold out and going for some astronomical price now for an $8 toy! That's just crazy.

Zhu Zhu Pets..... That was on Tierra's List... but I told her not now. I am not real sure why they are so popular, maybe the price? But of course she wants the whole Hampster "habitat" with all the tubes etc... My apartment is not big enough for all that!
