whoah! that does sound scary. so what can you do about it?

they say get more sleep but when you know whats going to happen when you fall asleep or when you try to wake up TRUST ME you DON'T SLEEP!

sis; when I'm really stressed or tired is when it happens or if I'm worry about something...sometimes I have to fight to breath.

an out of body experience? what are you thinking when you see yourself levitating? you haven't seen the bright light that people say they see when they are dying have you?

Dills you are awake but your body is asleep so if you lay on your back its like you can look down and see yourself on the bed sleeping but you are awake no lights or anything maybe shadows but no faces..you can hear footsteps but you can't see anything outside of where you eyes are focused (kinda like looking out the corner of your eye)

let me know if you want me to stop but i have had this for a while and yesterday was the worse i have ever experienced my hubby is convinced that ghosts are playing around with me..he does not think its a medical condition

Sheka this sounds really scary. I understand why hubby thinks its ghosts.

In Guyana them old people give people all kinds a bath and said all types of prayers. This used to happen to a cousin of mine. My granny used to put the bible over his head at night to sleep. They took him to a bush man and he had to walk with a guard all the time. They pinned it to his clothes.

yes C my hubby is telling me the same thing

Like Lawny said its Duppy/Jumbie holding you down so they have to pray and chant so it will let you go. My cousin used to mess with a girl and her mother did not like him so my granny said is them wuk Obeya on him.

after the experience yesterday i felt speechless i was just quiet and serious (feeling like i was not myself ) i would start to do something and then i would just stop and sit down and forget what i was doing...then after a few hours i felt very weak and i called my hubby at work and he told me just to pray and try to sleep again and i woke up just fine this time but i could not remember what i did before i went to sleep

maybe your hormones are off....are you having enough sex?

actually while its happening you do get aroused because of the chemicals that it sends to the brain but you don't want any sex TRUST ME you want a BIBLE and a PREACHER

Wow!!! I knew I wasn't the only one. I have these sometimes, when my insomnia acts up and I haven't had any sleep a few days in a row. Wake up feeling lost. Looking around thinging where am I and how did I get here in these clothes. I know exactly what you are going through. My insomnia was under control for a few years, but has recently come back with a harh return. I haven't had any of the sleep paralysis yet though Thank God. Would probably freak my hubby out. and anyone else for that matter.

I had to do a sleep study to get my diagnosis, did you undergo one of them?

dillon -- girl don't get me started once I lived in a high rise and this guy would not leave me alone would come to my door to borrow things and I always said NO! -- but he kept asking the last straw was when he asked for some toothpicks...I took some salt and wrote 696 (and sprinkle red food colouring on the salt) on my doormat in front of the door and he moved out a few months later...it was so damn funny I know I'm mean, right, but he was a pain in the A$$
