I thought I was the only one that went to Miami and did the 12 hour layovers

I make sure to pack light so I can bring my bag and I take the bus to Southbeach. Go to the little Italian Restaurant with the mist and fans and eat for the buffet lunch 6.95 special.

Whoa!! Some hot topic must be going on today. This is the most chatter in 3 hours that I've seen in a while.

Guess I'll wait until after work to catch up.

Note to self: Start here.

:P:rofl:

Oh SG and I especially HATE having to go to that stinky smelly fish store that we saw you and your hubby at. Unfortunately he LOVES that store. ICK!

Coincidentally he was supposed to make a run today to that store and guess who would have been going instead if he did not get his license yesterday?

BTW I have an SUV so text or call me if you need help this wknd with moving. I can fit some stuff in there if I fold the chairs down.

You are funny Shaunsgal

nat ..did you say that you ussually fly american airlines

I have flown AA to JA a few times and the only problem I have with them is I'm coming from PA and my direct flight is in Miami. Well for some reason they always put my gates so farrrrrr apart so I have to literally push everyone out my way and run like a mad ooman to my next gate. By the time I get there I'm sweating and out of breath but gosh darn it I haven't missed a connecting flight yet... I like AA. I think I'm going to use them when I go to All Star's in Feb down Dallas.

If your gates happen to be far apart as well I'm sure you'll have no problem getting there. I can see you running threw the airport now like," Move I'm going to go get my man...." LOL

dada you are so right ...:rofl:

JQ all dem crazy #### baby mama is a mess...It must be a Jamaican thing if they were in america they would see seh if yuh nah wuk yuh cant survive. My fiance baby mother dont work either so I have heard this song before. We put his son on the K-1 so everything will be done at once. She called yesterday saying she dont have no $$$ to take the passport pics for the Medical and he must send it. He told her to work it out and dont stress him. She find the $$$ today she took him to get the pics. Sometimes the daddy's just have to stand up to dem...

I hope everything work out well for you...

In no way is it a Jamaican thing - It happens here all the time, we have a thing called Welfare - which is there for a purpose and should be used, but how many people abuse it? My friend's daughters mother pocketed money from him for years and collected state aid - then went after him for child support when he got in an accident and was outta work, and claimed he never paid her a dime - cause she would have gotten in trouble collecting aid and money from him - The byatch was driving a BMW, not working, living the life -

so true sus i see these girl no job ton of aid government funding housing and driving hummers and navigators and such.

@ Lady C I dont know if its a jamaican thing but its a thing with This Jamaican Girl. She has me feeling like she can get a job but just dont want to. I cant wait til my baby comes here so she wont get a dime then we will see how she get that might DOLLAR>

@ Sus. Your are so right. It is abused all the time and that is a shame

Topic this is what gets me

Assumption: People on welfare are usually black, teenage mothers who stay on ten years at a time.

Fact: Most welfare recipients are non-black, adult and on welfare less than two years at a time.

Here are the statistics on welfare recipients:

Traits of families on AFDC (1)

Race

--------------

White 38.8%

Black 37.2

Hispanic 17.8

Asian 2.8

Other 3.4

I hope my president can get this country going into the right direction because it is really messed up

But the best b4 Obama to me was 225px-Bill_Clinton.jpg

he put the Welfare Reform into effect that will only give 5 years for money.

But now they have a new trick either get pregnant again or go on Social Secirty for the kids. I pray to God that the ones that are abusing it get caught for our countries sake.

yes alot of women have lots of kids and get checks for all of them i see it all the time ...

Ells, afraid is not the word, A went to the doctor for a physical the other day and he had to go get lab work done, He called me when he got to the lab and 45mintues pass and I haven't heard from him, so I am calling and no answer, he finally calls me back sounding weird, come to find out he passed out. When he told me the story about waking up on the floor with a cloth on his head and something around his neck I was dieing, it wasn't funny but I can just picture him waking up on the floor like #######.... lol! and he forgot to tell the nurse that he tends to pass-out around needles! I had a good laugh that day!

I thought I was the only one that went to Miami and did the 12 hour layovers

I make sure to pack light so I can bring my bag and I take the bus to Southbeach. Go to the little Italian Restaurant with the mist and fans and eat for the buffet lunch 6.95 special.

Yeah, the longest layover I've had there is about 5 1/2 hours but usually it's around 4 hours. Gives me plenty of time to mosey on through so I really kinda like it now. The only hard one was a flight delay when mister came home with me that ended up being 4 hours after our scheduled flight. We just wanted to get home & introduce him to his new home & instead we waited in Miami airport for 8-9 hours. That was rough! Better to be on a safe plane though.

I'll have to get info from you if we go via Miami again on that bus ride to Southbeach...sounds like a nice way to kill the time!

Okay.....now for the rest.

I've been a little mopey cause there hasn't been any activity on our AOS case & it seems everyone else doing this at the same time has had at least some progress. Well, I had moments ago closed out the USCIS case status window & went to check my e-mail for whatever random messages may have come in this afternoon. My heart jumped when I saw two messages from USCIS about our cases. I opened them and...

WE GOT APPROVALS ON HIS EAD & AP TODAY!!! Approval notice sent for AP & card production ordered for EAD!! YAY!!!:dance::dance:

(Now to just wait for the AOS itself to have some action! )
