On the positive side Garfield's Medical is tomorrow and I am sending off the interview package to him today......... Yay

Good luck!! Can you let us know how this goes for him? What additional immunizations he has to take? And if you receive results the same day? My S.O. and I are so nervous and can't believe that he has to bring an extra $250 for immunizations.

I have a question for the AOS ladies....well really regarding medical insurance, did most of you put your hubby on your medical insurance and if so, did it boost up how much you have deducted monthly from your pay?

We just had open enrollment and I checked into my health insurance. It will probably be an additional $100/month to add him. I will have to change from employee and child plan to an employee and family plan. Luckily we do not have to wait until we are married because domestic partners are eligible.

that's great. We had to wait till married and it was something like $585. I was floored.

I have flown AA to JA a few times and the only problem I have with them is I'm coming from PA and my direct flight is in Miami. Well for some reason they always put my gates so farrrrrr apart so I have to literally push everyone out my way and run like a mad ooman to my next gate. By the time I get there I'm sweating and out of breath but gosh darn it I haven't missed a connecting flight yet... I like AA. I think I'm going to use them when I go to All Star's in Feb down Dallas.

If your gates happen to be far apart as well I'm sure you'll have no problem getting there. I can see you running threw the airport now like," Move I'm going to go get my man...." LOL

My insurance will go up 200.00 per month so I didnt do it. We need to save some of that money right now for baby coming up. I am hoping he can find a job with good benefits.

Be very careful with that - I know it seems like you are saving money, but one illness or emergency, and you will pay way way more than the $200 a month - My friends were doing the no insurance thing, and her hubby ended up in the hosp with diabetes - not only was it $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in bills - he now has a pre-existing condition that he can't get coverage for to get his own ins. policy, his employer doesn't offer one - Please look into some type of insurance for him, even if it's only an emergency care policy.

We didn't add Andre right away. Then, he had a sickle cell episode and we had to go to the ER. Luckily, the insurance company made coverage retroactive to the date of our wedding. I had to come up with a month and a half of back premiums; but it was worth it for not having to pay the ER bill.

So we went to David's Bridal tonight to look for a dress for the reception. I wanted something that I could wear again. I went in with the idea of getting a yellow dress, but when they showed me all these bright yellow dresses, I didn't like them as much. So I went with a green dress that I can wear again to, say, a Holiday party. I got a yellow wristlet & sheer shawl to go with it.

Nat with your complexion I think green would look better on you and it will stand out more. How did the dress look on? What shoes will you wear with it?

I went back to the Humane Society to look at some of the other dogs I looked at Saturday. Walked in and Maddie was still there. I started to cry. Worker guy told me that there are shelters that take dogs like her and they are working on getting her into one. That helped a bit.

I ended up falling in love with Tiger. He's a 8 month old pitt with the sweetest disposition. I took him to the firehouse last night. He played in the yard with the neighbor dogs running up and down the fence with him. I gave him a bath. He slept through the night in his crate with the door open. He's been a dream. Only issues are the cat hates him and he ate all the cat's food. Both of those I expect will change.

I feel like a new mom. I don't want to be here at all today!

Congrats JG!!!! Dogs are so great!! I have a pit too and he has the same white stripe up his nose. And don't let anyone tell you that pits are mean and dangerous...they are one of the most lovable breeds and all they want to do is please you!

Yup. I held their shade of yellow (canary) next to me and it didn't look so good. Plus, I felt I'd look like Big Bird with my size in a canary yellow dress.

I'm struggling to find shoes. I ordered some from Zappos, but they cut off my pinky toe. I think it looks weird when you can only see 4 toes on a foot.

I might just wear some champagne colored shoes that I already have.

We started The Love Dare. Days 1 & 2 went well so far. Day 1 was easy (say nothing negative). Day 2 (perform an act of kindness) was a lot more fun. When I got home from work, Steven had cleaned the apt & all the lights were off. He lead me to the dining room where he'd lit candles & he served dinner. My act of kindness came later.

Today is Day 3: give a gift. I know what I want to get him; I just need to find the time to do so.
