Well, my bubble just burst. Maddie failed her test and is not available for adoption. I'm heartbroken. First of all, they left her in that cage for the last 4 months for no reason if she isn't adoptable. 2nd, they are going to put her down now....I know that. I fell in love with that dog. I started to tear up when the gal called.

A friend of mine just talked me down off that ledge and said leave work early and go find yourself a dog. He said I've been so happy all weekend in anticipation and had my heart set on Maddie. He said I won't be happy if I don't. This is the one person who knows me best and he's right. So, I am leaving at 2 to see if I bond with another. I'll be happy and I'll have saved a dog from who knows what.

They had a special running the last few weeks in Oct. 1/2 price for the adoption fees. They offered it to me with Maddie cause I couldn't take her home in Oct. I'm going to see if they will extend it till today in light of the circumstances. Wish me luck.

Hey JG. My friends son has to get rid of her puppy (chow mixed with something I think) because the grandchild is allergic. Let me know if you want me to text you a picture. Call me at work or text me.

My insurance will go up 200.00 per month so I didnt do it. We need to save some of that money right now for baby coming up. I am hoping he can find a job with good benefits.

Be very careful with that - I know it seems like you are saving money, but one illness or emergency, and you will pay way way more than the $200 a month - My friends were doing the no insurance thing, and her hubby ended up in the hosp with diabetes - not only was it $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in bills - he now has a pre-existing condition that he can't get coverage for to get his own ins. policy, his employer doesn't offer one - Please look into some type of insurance for him, even if it's only an emergency care policy.

You might want to text her - I think she was heading right back to puppy shop

Are you overly tired of stressed? I woke up with one yesterday. A nap did the trick.

That's what works 90% of the time for me, too.

nat ..did you say that you ussually fly american airlines

Continental. Dillon has a good memory.

I did fly AA the first time (of 10) I went to JA. I remember that they were very accomodating in letting me change my connection flight to leave on an earlier one, reducing my wait time from like 10 hrs to 4. That was in Nov 2007. They may have started charging for that now, as other airlines have.

ok thanks ...

Hey Yardies, How is everyone doing tonight?

I finally sent off the AOS package friday and it was delivered today, it really feels good to have that out of the way. Now the waiting begins again. lol

congrats on the next step...

does anyone know what the timeframe you have to send aos off

I am not sure My2 but we waited 4 months because we knew we were moving so we did not want to take the risk to have anything get lost

i can certainly understand that ..

Congratulations!!!! Can a borrow a couple of days?? :innocent:

Sorry Char, no can do.. gotta save em for sexy party days!

Well in that case, I guess its ok not to share...

It must be something in the air cause I have a Monster Headache too.. :crying::crying:

On the positive side Garfield's Medical is tomorrow and I am sending off the interview package to him today.........:dance: Yay

Good luck!! Can you let us know how this goes for him? What additional immunizations he has to take? And if you receive results the same day? My S.O. and I are so nervous and can't believe that he has to bring an extra $250 for immunizations.

Yayyyyy!!!!! :)

I have a question for the AOS ladies....well really regarding medical insurance, did most of you put your hubby on your medical insurance and if so, did it boost up how much you have deducted monthly from your pay?

We just had open enrollment and I checked into my health insurance. It will probably be an additional $100/month to add him. I will have to change from employee and child plan to an employee and family plan. Luckily we do not have to wait until we are married because domestic partners are eligible.

my fiance went to a local clinic to get his imunizations it was cheaper to get them there ...

No, I cannot find them. People are crazy! How did you see the comments?

HI VJ family.

Mstee - I added my hubby to my health insurance a month after we got married. It didn't cost me anything additional because I already had the family plan with just my daughter and I on it. Can have up to 4 family members.

Thank you, I think I may need to look in to alternate insurance because adding him will jack up my rates

See, that's probably what will happen to me... I had a site at one time regarding health coverage for aliens... I have to find it and see what options we have.

I was able to get CHIP for my daughter so I took her off last year, she gets free everything... I did it so I could get more in my pay and now that Steve is coming... I just can't go back to that, gonna search for other insurance for him.

My premiums will double to add one person, but then if/when we have children, it isn't as much to add them.

So we went to David's Bridal tonight to look for a dress for the reception. I wanted something that I could wear again. I went in with the idea of getting a yellow dress, but when they showed me all these bright yellow dresses, I didn't like them as much. So I went with a green dress that I can wear again to, say, a Holiday party. I got a yellow wristlet & sheer shawl to go with it.
