Hi all. i'm bringing up my concern for my relatives who petitioned their overaged children in the philippines. the couple (my uncle and aunt) included in the peitition their grand daughter as their youngest child. this might have made them to falcify the birth certificate since they are putting the grand daughter as their child. my aunt's age couldve been impossible for her to conceive around the child's birthyear. and one more thing, one of their son has been married for more than 3 years now and has one child but the marriage has not been registered at the national statistics office to keep him on a single status until such time the petition gets approved.. are these considered sunctions of fraud? i don't think it's such a big deal unless they really scrutenize backgrounds.

It's called Immigration Fraud. They do really scrutanize backgrounds as part of the process. Expect that they all most likely will be denied visas. They might even add 10 year or even lifetime bans from entering the U.S. Whether they would try to prosecute your aunt and unlce is anybody's guess. Manila is a high fraud post and the CO's there know what to look for.

Well there have been several births to women over 60.

On the marriage front he is either married or not, a question of fact. I do not know the rules in Philipines. But would he want to leave his 'wife' and child behind if he is applying as single?.

Philipines Consulate has a repuatation for having to deal with many fraudulent applications and check accordingly.

oh my I hope all things turn out ok for everyone

Since I dont support illegal activities and visa scams...I hope that it turns out for them also...namely that the USC get caught and prosecuted. If naturalized, stripped of his citizenship and returned.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

Ditto! It's BS like this that keeps honest loving couples waiting for 5 months after NOA2 to get an interview in Manila.
